Auto Combine was a great show, I was given one of the greatest booth spots and it was one of those in the entrance way that everyone had to walk by in order to get inside the vendor pavilion.
Had a chance to talk to some really good friends and figured out a few cool things I can do to clean up the Jeep and overall just start fixing the small details.
Bad news, my tires are almost shot and need new ones very very very soon. 18s may be happening much sooner than expected.
You can make a decent patch line with industrial air hose and barb fittings from Home Depot or wherever if you can't find DOT air line. Just double-up on the hose clamps for each barb. Otherwise, truck shops often have DOT air line, since it's used most commonly for air brakes.
What's shredding your leader hoses?
We did roller shots this weekend, and I was practicing trying to "ride low" and I think that caused the tire to rub the leaderline. The final blow I think was I had a "large" friend with me a majority of the day and probably rubbed it to almost gone, and a finally bump probably tore the first one.
The second one my leaderline had a strange bend and got seperated right before the fitting to the bag. I'm not entirely sure what happened then.

Console is in progress, me and a friend are giving it a shot at fiberglassing.
I shredded a leader line 2 days ago going about 60 down the interstate and was probably the sketches thing I've had happen. Got it fixed with some spare line and fitting I had as a backup kit which was a great idea And ordered more "backup" kit incase anything happened again.
Bad news, my other sides leaderline got sliced somehow and has a pretty bad leak. Attempted to seal it up with what I have (which is hardly nothing) and it's still losing about 5 psi per minute And we have a 600 mile road trip for tomorrow and no local shops carry line, nor leaderline. And my "repair kit" won't be here until Monday of next week.
I went console less to the show today, and had a cardboard gauge holder which I worked super hard on. Nobody seemed to care and didn't have anything negative to say which was good.
My jeep was nowhere near show ready today but I had a great time And met some crazy good people who I can now call friends.
Days like these are the best and worst days in the car scene.
Bad: Dealing with fabricators
Good: Meeting awesome people who love the same things.
I've rolled to shows with some pretty haggard shit that I didn't manage to get done in time. I'd be tempted to throw some black fabric over the console area with a "work in progress" sign on it. It's lame as hell to have to do that, but the show must go on...
So, 3 weeks ago I brought a fabricator the idea of building me a custom center console. This center console would be made of out aluminum, have a gauge pod pillar built in, cup holders, a remote for my accuair controller and loads of other custom things I wanted. The guy owed me a big favor and so I was cashing it and offered to pay materials on top of it just for the sake of it.
3 weeks later, I'd received hundreds of excuses as to why it wasn't done but just wait it gets good.
This morning I offered him $150 + materials to have to ready for me tonight as I have a HUGE show tomorrow and was given the chance to really show off my build and given a booth car spot.
Turns out, he lost his fabricating job because his quality of work has greatly declined.
Uhh..
Here's my new custom console, with all my requested features, and more.
Needless to say, I now own a butchered stock console, gave wasted 3 weeks of my time, and need to find something to work as a console in about 2 hours before we leave for the show.
If anyone is local to Orlando, Titan Motorsports is hosting an open house show tomorrow 10-4. It's going to be a fun day, and I may be a booth car for a large vendor.. shhhhhh.
