  • is it good for the bags that when aired out the top and bottom of the bag is not centered and the sharp lip of the aluminium corner of the bag holder looks like it`s rubbing on the bag?

I Think he has a point. Don't you think you should make the bottom bracket in an angle so it sits parallel to the upper bracket? I doubt the bags will last long enough when aired out on a regular basis

        • well well well lol

It's the shock that prevent the car from going lower, not the bag,
I adjusted the coilover in the way that the car in its lower position is on internal bumpstop of shock so that the frame only lightly touch thr steering tie rod
in the lower position, all the wheight of the car is on internal bumpstop of the shock

the bag in the lower position is rather free, you can make the rubber part move by hand

...but I totally agree that the bag is not in an ideal position... you're right

it would be way better if it should work like it works in the rear.... at lower position the top and bottom of the bag is almost in the same axis:

and i could in fact modify the front control arms in a way that it could be almost the same at the front... wait and see how long it would go like that... maybe going with real airride bags would be a good idea... something like slam specialties ss5...

          • Maybe you could have some angled aluminium spacers made? but that will maybe limit the amuont of drop you get.

yeah I thought of it, it's an option...

but if I already go in the adventure of making myself spacers or bracket why not doing it seriously with serious bags... that's why I thought of the slam specialties ss5

                            • done a while ago

modification of BMW e36 front coilovers

                              some real news

replacing of front strut upper mount

replacing of rear dampers DAEWOO Lanos ones are plug & play, have more stroke and go lower... choosen some TA Technix stuff to be harder enough to go with the hard damper in the front woh comes from e36 coilovers

                              almost half an inch lower

now the rear fender goes to the height of the hubcap
