If you read my second comment you would have seen that I applaud heist on his car and am not calling him "The Same". I just want to build something that pushes the boundries like heist did. I am just sick of turbo flares and 15x7s.

I'd like to see where this goes.
TinkWithanR is right. These cars have been around for so long you are going to have to work real hard to be different/original.
Iv seen s52, f20, sr20, ford v8, s14 and all kinds of other swaps. Metal fender flares, composite flares, turbo flares, Alpina flares, group 2 and 5 flares, vw flares. 2002s with Subaru drive lines, 2002s with e46 drive lines, 2002s with mustang drive lines. Wheels from 14x5 to 17x10.
Not trying to shit on your build. Its just a bit silly to say that everyone builds the same 2002s. There are a bunch of different ones out there. You just need to know where to look.

Who cares if people "build" the same 2002s... this car is a classic. Anyone who has the ability to modify and restore the car according to their tastes, have a win in my book.

Plus these cars are just awesome

sounds like your looking to make something light fast and efficent. why go with such heavy wheels?

rhodesy-you mind if i call ya rhodesy?,j/k i actually totally get what your sayin , beside the 2002 builds on stanceworks and toomany02s(on 2002faq, i think thats his name) they are kinda mostly looking the same, kinda like mustang builds or any e36 on BFc. looks like your off to a good start..also please steal my idea and put a coil over bag setup on the rear. which is what my next car will be setup like(e30 or 2002 well see).

I agree. 02's have seen many different power plants along with many different suspensions. I do have a drivetrain idea floating around in the back of my head that has been done before but still is pretty different setup. Also how often do you see a 02 on 16x10 et -25 that can still lay most everything on the ground.

They are mainly just to get everything set up correctly and fitment correct. I doubt they will be around for more than a year. Although I do Like the look if them, they are wayyyy to heavy.

I was thinking of doing that but I don't know if clearence will be an issue and if it will go low enough. As it is I will be squeezing a small double bello. All I know for sure is that I am not going to want to stop driving this thing when I finish it.

Rear fender all sealed up. Overall im thrilled with the quality. I owe most of the work to Travis @SlyCooperR53.

Gas tank is now 3/4 of an inch off the ground with the rears where they need to be. Hopefully it will lift a little when the front is lower.
