Back from death- the revival of a 74 BMW 2002

  • I guess e28 seat brackets and e10 brackets are the same because the seats bolted right in to the original holes.

    The seats leave me with plenty of head room... maybe enough for a Chop

    Also managed to get the trunk all cleaned and ready for primer. Thank god i have clean rust free shock towers.

    • Today I polished up the coil pack and relocated it out of the engine bay to help clean things up.

      Also saw a Inka orange 2002 for sale in my home town. Remember when car companies used real colors instead of just greys and whites. 70's colors rock.

          I'm happy I purchased these from mike. They are pretty unique looking and it feels good to be sitting in a piece of rusty. I was going to polish them up but I like the tarnished and aged look.

          • i layed down a good few coats of filler primer.

            Also bolted up the rear wheel to see what the fitment would look like. I have been having trouble getting the tire seated on the inside of the rim so it looks like meaty fitment. Even with the non stretched tire, The rear subframe is a half inch off the ground. This car should lay frame no problem.
