I dig that you're building your own car here but I for one was really hoping that the body of the z would stay and that accommodation for those glorious wheels would come in the form of some serious fenders. can't really make comments on the body as it's not really been shown, but what has, not a fan. probably jumping the gun but... not trying to be negative, just wanted to see a modified z as opposed to the organic sculpting I am seeing.
all in all, this is an amazing project with amazing potential and amazing skills and tooling. keep up the work, and show some more solid modeling. also, the solid model does no justice to the insane size of those wheels in real life, or picture life as it were

The rear fenders will also be widened about 9.5" per side to deal with the wheels... otherwise the majority of the body will remain the Z.SENZA PARI

Hey man... professional industrial designer / CAD monkey here. If you need any help with surfacing, let me know. I've done some pretty complex stuff, but almost all of it is going into production so I can't show you examples. Your solid modeling skills are... "solid" though, just offering help if you need it!I have 2009-2012, btw.
Edit: TIGHT! I didn't realize you were in wisco. Would definitely like to meet up, I haz mad skills in complex surfacing, and really expensive rendering equipment. I can make your vision look real before you finish it!Last edited by cash68; 03-13-2012, 03:11 PM.

Man, you should have started out with a pre 1975 S30. You could go ALLOT further in your dream and have it still be street legal... Before you do ANY MORE work to the chassis, you should seriously consider this... Seriously. Not that I am anywhere near on par with your skills but this is where most builders fail. They start with the wrong platform...
Finding a 240z or even a 260z shell should not be that hard...
Other than that.... OMFG!!!!

Definitely one of the more ambitious builds I've ever seen of an S30... Even though it isn't going to look much like one anymore when it's done I am very interested to see what direction this ends up taking. I'm a fan of the organic building process that's happening here.ufoz...
