It's more of a style than anything... we started doing it a while back and it kinda stuck. Now peple ask for it, so we give them what they want:-)

The one advantage it does have over cutting up pre-formed elbows is you can create complex curves very easily. And because each one is laser-cut to an exact degree, you can tack any numberof them together and you know what your resulting total bend will be.

Welding your a**es off isn't work when you love doing it.

          • Having the proper tools to make the cuts perfect and being able to weld it all properly is really what makes it doable - You thankfully have both.

You should to a quick youtube of the laser cutting and quick welding of a small 45deg bend

I can get a video of the laser, however there is no "quick" welding of a 45, haha. The video I posted a few days ago shows half of one weld seam, I believe the total length of the original video (before Flickr cuts it down to 90 secs.) is about 3 mins long... then a few minutes for the pieice to cool, then back at it, and repeat!

Each one of these took around an hour and a half just to weld...

              • You guy's are ridiculously talented. I'm going to school for welding and today was my first day trying to tig round tubing. Im sure it's going to get much easier but for now it's really a bitch haha I do enjoy it though.
