I love when people tackle the off-the-wall cars and fab everything themselves. good work. They're such qwerky little cars with their super 90's styling, but I like what you're doing with it.

Yeah I have never followed the trend really my entire life! Thanks for the comments I'm loving this build right now. My buddy and I were talking about my front bumper the other saying how Mazda should of made it like I did in the first place (The rest of the range MX-5, RX-7) are the same but we think they had heat issues with the V6 under bonnet and had to address them with the upper air damn that I filled in.

I have seriously grown to love the styling now at first I was a bit like wtf though..

Had this poly. Civic rear lip in my Garage for a couple of years now and never really tried to fit it properly, but today as part
of the exhaust backbox upgrade I thought I would try again and it turned out Ok, needs a bit of tweaking as it looks a bit wonky bit of persuasion needed with the hairdryer sure will be ok.
but I'm well happy with it, needs some proper flush fixings but it now means I can try for a diffuser and maybe oval tailpipes each side bit like the miata.

Yo cheers, I think the lip is actually off the front of a Civic, bought it so long ago now I cant remember the ad.

So onto the exhaust back box/muffler idea, I'm going to ask for some opinions on this
as it's such a big aesthetic part and there being many Americans on here to help out as it involves a Camaro cross flow muffler, I think if I can make this clean looking it will work, however I don't want it look all show and no go! So it will go on fully after the Turbo, only reason I'm thinking of this now is if I have to cut part of the bumper for the tailpipes best to do it before the paint.

This is the idea to mount the muffler horizontally across the back of the car behind the bumper with just the bottom 1/3 of the muffler showing and have the tailpipes run across the back/underneath the lip with exits on either side through/out the bumper?! TVR Sagaris style Or simplify it and go 90 degree bends as tailpipes either side?

                        All opinions welcome

p.s Oval box is to scale, Loo rolls are not.

This thing is just awesome. I love the weird, unusual cars- the fact that you're taking the time to literally make the car is incredible.

Hats off to you for tackling something completely different, it looks great. The fabrication is nicely done as well.

the only thing I don't really care for is the pinstripes on the sides- but it's an easy fix if you change your mind.

Hey thanks really appreciate those comments! 'Tis an oddball fo' sure, bit like me ,lol
The pinstripes came off the first time I had to do another red paint resto. with the T-cut, they made it real hard work so off they came.

Took the bumper off this morning and made some space behind it and it would seem that its going to fit, also straightened up the rear lip which fits even better now.
