i had suspicion the issue had to do with the stock chip being coded to a manual trans. 034 confirmed it.

well there are only like 55 v8q 5speed in the usa and only about 110 in the world. i need stock 5 gang chip...

bit of a hangup. no spark.....the ecu is still looking for an automatic trans to be in 'park' to enable the ignition system. Well that system is all gone and there are 2 wires that go to the missing tcu from the ecu.... i ran into this issue years ago doing the 5speed conversion on my v8q. kept all tcu parts, put trans module in 'park' then hid everything. bam done. not an option this time.

every single v8 swap has standalone or got hung up on this auto crap then went standalone....going to put the call into 034 motorsport on monday....

thanks guys, its been interesting build. 3 steps forward 2 back....the goal today is to start. need to buy more wires

start motor
cooling system needs finished
front cv's
bleed brakes
finish hydroboost brake system
proper 3wire gm coil connectors
rip it up

found my old coupe on the same coils, but pearl will be lowwer

fueling is all done. recalculating the switch center power wire sizing before I add all the ecu power.

10 quarts of oil in. Fuel pump wired up, testing showed nasty leak next to the header. 4x4 is laying new stainless fuel line now. well back to work
