i wan to bolt a 1/4" steel bash plate to the cross member extending to the middle of the caster mounts, so there is zero chance of me busting a sump

Remember, you can also cut into the bonnet frame if that hits the rocker cover first, as the frame will still hold strength,,

yeah i was thinking of bashing the bonnet frame with a hammer if it hits

do u know what i could use to space the engine up?

a stack of washers or get a metal spacer machined?

duno if the bolts will be long enough with the spacers

Longer bolts, machine up blocks of metal to space it up.

Dont bash bonnet frame as it will put high spots on the bonnet, easier just to cut the part that hits out...

All good dude... aslong as your tires have writing on the sidewall you'll be sweet... apparently its illegal when the writing gets shaved off... Even when your car does it for you...

ah ha ha so tru, i remember reading a thread about it when the rule 1st came in, its like you can't have shaved sidewalls on your tires, it weakens the structure of them and OMG the world is gona end

it was something like trying to stop hectic commo drivers shaving sidewall and painting them white coz they are too cheap to buy proper white wall tires
