As a musician, I look at it this way. How would you feel if you went and worked your ass off, wrote this fucking bad ass music and put out an awesome album, then next week someone else completely copied your album just with lower quality recording and sold it for cheaper?

I wont roll fake wheels because I think the companies that built the real, baller, quality wheels deserve to reap the benefits of their design.

I have a strong disagreement with fake wheels for a vast multitude of reasons. How's that for being a PC way of saying **** fake wheels?

The only rota I think I would ever rock are the p45r's because I can't afford TE's

Seriously, if i decided to rock Rotas I could give a rats ass what others think. There are always people that are going to disagree with some of the mods or even with the fact that you mod your car period. I've had people leave "fuck your sensitive alarm and your shitty scion" notes on my car, I laughed my ass off after that one. If you're gonna mod, have thick skin because there's always ******.

i like my rotas alot, i could have bought the te37's in 18x10.5 which would be the one real wheel i would buy but i decided instead of spending over 3000 on wheels i would get my rotas, seats, cage, rear diffuser, front lip for the same price. eventually ill buy real wheels but right now I'd rather have all those goodies for this year

As long as the size/offset is right, it's good to me.

                  IMO, size/offset > brand.

                  I'd rather run 18x10" +22 rotas than 18x7.5" +48 volks.

I guess no one that hates replica wheels runs any Nexen or other knockoff brand tires...or off-brand coilovers....or generic toilet paper haha..

I don't care what wheels somebody rolls, as long as their car is straight. I personally like rotas a lot more than the heavy steel wheels that belong on a trailer that everyone seems to love these days. It is true that you can pick up legit wheels for cheap though, just gotta look for the deals..i got my 500 bucks a pop wheels for 650shipped brand new, bargain shopping.

but when you have a honda civic with $1800 coilovers, RHD conversion and a b18 swap, with a turbo........ FAIL.

IMO, real wheels are easy to come by (used) for a few hundred more than a new set of rotas.
Real wheels aren't always easy.... Try living where I do... all wheels that are real usually have to be shipped in.. I bought a set of Slips for $200... can't find a set of used Spoon's for 500 can ya?

I think Rotas are ok, I'm not saying they are great but for the price they are good. Of course everyone would want to have real wheels but some people have different priorities... Like for me its to be debt free this year except for my house and I'm looking to buy a second one next year. So for me rotas are perfect... and no I don't roll around on cut springs.. thanks for the stereo-type though.

At the end of the day you can always buy Rotas if that's what you want to do, and at the end of the day, those of us who are serious about wheels, will laugh at you.

For me I'd rather rock rotas than real wheels that are worth more than the car itself.

Very true, plus both my cars are paid for and I don't have to put wheels on a credit card or anything.. I'm only 23 and I don't know too many people who are that age with 2k laying around except for tax time... Eventually I'll have real wheels but thats when I get everything else in order

I have no problem with them.

They're a sensical way to have a good looking car that gets punishing DD or track duty where it would be completely silly to run baller wheels because they'd get destroyed.

I don't think they take sales away from anyone. Anyone who would really be contemplating spending $2k on a set of TE37's isn't going to view $500 Rota Grids as a competitive product, you're either in one camp or the other, IMO.

Honestly, the only reason I've never put them on my car is because everyone else already has them. It's the same reason I'd never put BBS RS on my car. It isn't a question of legit-ness, but of ubiquity, and I don't want my car (whatever it happens to be at the time) to scream ubiquity.

I mean, there are a couple of "played out" wheels that I'd gladly use, like Wats and Starsharks, but only because I have a unique aesthetic preference for them, not because I perceive them as "baller".

In the past, when I was buying "cheap" wheels, I spent a little more and bought something still relatively inexpensive that was less common (i.e. Buddy Club P1s and Work Emotion CR's before everyone had them)
