Enough teasing with the rear end. Still has a little work to be done, but here it is. As you can see I won't be running a rear bumper.

I know it's not the plan, but the two tone look you have going on right now looks bitchin.

Haha I thought the same thing, the center body line doesn't quite make it all the way to the front though and I already shaved the hole for the trim that normally goes there.

More progress on the plating today. Found a really easy way to prep the steel before doing copper passes. Starting polishing it some more to so that it photographed better.

Started going hard today, got a new finishing wheel setup that polishes the steel to a consistent mirror finish realll quick. Also another sneak preview on the direction of the rear end.

Has anyone ever tried repair panels off fixmyrust.com? I ordered my floor pans from there, hoping for good results.

The copper is staying raw. It takes years for copper to turn green. Since its garage kept and only a cruiser/show car I'll be polishing the copper and the tight spots and corners that develop a duller discolored patina (usually brownish) will give it some character.

I'm going to be down to the wire with mine too. I've been putting off finishing for almost a year now haha
