So the power supply is pretty much finished now so when my plating solution shows up on Monday, prepare yourselves for the next few weeks to be photos galore.

Rust repair is finished mostly. There's a little surprise for how the rear end was tackled. HINT: I won't be running bumpers.

So for the sake of time, instead of ordering a rectifier made for plating which could take weeks to come in, I picked up a 1,000watt computer power supply. It retails for like $600 and I picked it up for $75 so it seemed like a no brainer. I won't have as much control over varying the voltage but it'll have +3.3v, +5v, and +12v leads so I should have enough variability for brush plating at least. All of the plating solution has been ordered as well. Going with an alkaline copper to see if I get good results directly on the steel. If it proves difficult I'll make a nickel strike bath and acid copper solution instead.

The rust repair is jsut about finished as well so I'll have to grab some shots. The only parts that haven't been done are the floors which will be cut out and new ones put back all in one quick shot, then theres also the rear end needs some work but I'll essentially be "shaving" the rear end to make one consistent body rather than all the recessed areas for where the bumper would have been.

Here's some shots of the power supply before all the cutting begins.

Good luck, that is not a simple task.

I wish, I dump all my money back into growing my companies these days. I started Motor Mavericks back in July of last year though and its been doing great. We've been wanting to start a wheel line all along so I can't wait to bring it to fruition now.

I started things out with lots of aircraft stripper which got the bulk of it right off. Then cleaned it up with a wire brush before hand sanding it
