have you tried to dissassemble the plastic peice that covers your ignition and stuff then slide your hub adapter on the spline then try and reassemble the plastic peice around the hub. that might work its worth a try if it can come apart. ususally there are 2 phillips heads screws underneath. im not sure because i have never molested a e28 but maybe just my thought.

As for the Momo adapter , I honestly have never heard of that issue . Is it a true momo adapter ? are you putting it on backwards ? Throw some pics up so I can see what your talking about . The Part # should work . However it may be for "airbag " equipped cars . Are you sure its a genuine momo hub ?
And i know i am 16, but i think i am smart enough to know the way it goes onAnd it was ordered on amazon here [ame="http://www.amazon.com/MOMO-Steering-Wheel-Adapter-84-91/dp/B006HKMLHC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422750639&sr=8-1&keywords=momo+e30+adapter+hub&pebp=1422750650158&peasin=B006HKMLHC"]Amazon.com: MOMO Steering Wheel Hub Adapter BMW 325e/es/I/is 84-91 E30 - Part # 2006-1: Automotive[/ame] according to amazon, the seller is momo.

The reason it doesn't fit is because the outer part of it is hitting the plastic around the steering column before it even gets near fitting over the spline. Will i have to do some trimming in order to get it to fit? It just seems odd to me because i see nobody else having issues with this.
Love the car though. It makes me want one so bad

The hubs came in today and we should hopefully get them installed this weekend. Hopefully the Momo adapter will be here soon also. Should have pics up soon!

We decided that since hubs with bearings pre-installed were only 25$ a pop, it would be a good idea to just buy them rather than worrying about pulling the other bearing. Should have them soon. Also gonna order a momo adapter hub for the grip royal wheel too. I wish i could get a quick release but i just can't justify buying something almost twice as much as the wheel just to install it

If I do end up cutting my springs it will definitely be temporary, but i am not quite sure if i should build or buy coilovers. My dad hasn't had any experience with coilovers except the ones he had on his s10 with ladder bars, much less me, so i have no idea if we should just take the safer route and buy full coilovers or build them to save money. But the car needs to be fixed so i need to worry about that first.

ive cut the springs on mine. i agree with sam^^^. it sits really nice, but after almost a year of me having cut springs, the ride is starting to get kind of mushy feeling. i cut 3 from the front and 3 from the back. i wouldnt recommend cutting 3 form the front, but thats just me.
i did it as a temporary low option while i saved up for bags. i finally have the bags, just gotta get around to installing them

If you're going to cut springs (and I have no problem with it if it's done right), you're going to absolutely need stiffer shocks to control them, like a set of Bilstein Sports or similar. At that point, you might be nudging up on cheap coilover territory. Just something to think about.
