So i got bored today and started looking at coverage of Water By the Bridge, and I just happened to be in one of the pictures.

The kid with the long hair on the far left is me, and the guy wearing the hat with the goatee is my dad. Sorry for the useless post, just thought this was cool.

Use a wire wheel attachment on the end of a drill. Soft "bristles" if you can find one so it doesn't put scratches and gashes in the barrel. I got mine at a Lowes.

Wet sanded one of the lips AGAIN...

    Before (different lip)

    After

Using 320 to get rid of all the machining marks made a HUGE difference. I will say it's not quite perfect, but good enough for me. We used jewelry compound to polish the outermost part of the lip, and it came out smooth as glass but the wheel we were using couldn't get to the inside so that will be finished up later.

hey if you're still having trouble with the hub ( i know months later) you can just order the momo hub off Turner Motorsports they only sell bmw stuff. that's where i got my wheel and hub.

So you know when I told you guys that my car had minimal rust? Yeah not so true.

The passenger side has one big hole but the driver side had lots of tiny holes. Fun. But the good news is i finally have a reason to learn how to weld.

And so i begun scraping the undercoating off

More pics when i start cutting shit out.

And also, I plan to wet sand the style 5s again, and actually do it right this time. This week is spring break for me so I should be able to get them knocked out. I went to Water By the Bridge Saturday and I think it's given me the inspiration i need to get some work done on this thing. And quick question, when i used paint stripper on the barrels, most of the paint on them seemed to come off, but for some reason the stripper didn't seem to want to penetrate. Can anyone suggest a wire wheel or something similar that i can use to clean them up without hurting them too much?

    Same.

Not So Much for The Swede Snow Sled in Lex though.

As for Sowo, as long as your not in the main show area or the are right outside the show area, your fine. Theres parking about a half mile from where everything happens. Last year at the hotel I stayed at at the east end of the town, theres was a ton of open parking. Most of the people there are out driving down the main strip anyways so parking will be fine in the hotel lots except for the ones like right next to all the booths and stuff.

    As for local shows.
We don't have much of anything for stuff like Sowo. Mostly rat rods and stuff.

Beatersville is in Louisville on May 24 I got to every year to cover for LoweredLifestyle -http://www.beatersville.com/
Lowered Lifestyle is one of the largest aftermarket suspension and apparel manufacturers in the automotive community. Whether you are shopping for air suspension, coilovers, wheels or accessories, we’ve got what you need to get your ride sitting right. Everything to get the stance you want, all in one spot.

The Dillehay Hullabaloo is at the end of the summer in Lexington - http://loweredlifestyle.com/2013/09/...od-hullabaloo/

Import alliance summer meet is usually at KY Speedway which is "Stance" cars if you will - http://importalliance.org/

Hot summer nights cruise in Somerset. Its cool to go a couple times, but theres so many cars and all the same people show up at everyone so your seeing the same stuff over and over again. - http://www.somernitescruise.org/

These are all little local hot rod shows. Anything can show up but its mostly older dudes with chargers and stuff - http://www.kentuckycarshows.com/

The Keeneland Concours during the summer - http://www.keenelandconcours.com/

Water by the Bridge in Louisville - http://www.waterbythebridge.com/

The Cinci auto expo was this weekend.

Thats All I can immediately think of.

Some of the guys on here who have "Stance" cars in Lexington might know more about local "Stance" shows. idk about their stanceworks usernames but their instagram names are @coooobin @wesworks @demrimz (winner of the stanceworks airlift giveaway) and me @oprahhwinfreyy. Thats all I know, Im sure theres more. A camo porsche whose IG names used to be @teameurotrash but idk what it is anymore.

Bonus pics because I am happy my car is in the garage, not buried in snow.

First, a kinda cool, but still crappy shot with the garage door opener light

And now, a complete crap shot with flash. Man do i need a real camera/friend with a real camera.

And now it's time for me to ramble about useless things. After some conversation with my dad, we've decided that it might be cool to go to sowo this year But sadly my car will most like not be presentable by then, let alone road-worthy. So that means we'll be rolling down there in his red 2013 Silverado So basically my point is, if anybody has some tips a noob like me would need as far as parking, and what i need to expect, please let me know. Especially considering my dad has a freaking truck, close parking may be an issue. And also, this is probably the point where this thread is gonna go reaaaaaalllllllly slow. Like slower than before. As most of you who have seen my thread know, i am 16, and i have never had a job, nor do i now. And i don't want to rush my dad into paying for everything, and there is still a lot of work to be done like the SI board, tires, a few more parts replaced, the major rust spots repaired, etc. And we still need the wheels refinished and coilovers to get the car to where i want it for now at least, so i's gonna be a while. Sorry to disappoint anyone who has interest here and sorry for the useless post, just super bored and wanted to make one. Oh yeah and if any local guy knows of some shows in KY i would be interested in, please let me know, i have never really been to any shows and i really want to start going to them.
