hahahaha im in the same boat dude. im doing math to figure out barrels, lips, offsets lol. its a sickness, and i dont even have my wheels yet.

i went through that with my epsilons, then i ended up selling them due to nobody bieng able to make me the lips i wanted. the OZ's are alot easier to find parts for so if i go that route atleast the parts are readily available . but im trying hard to stick with what i have, but 17x9 et24 is not rolling hard in an e30

continued with the OZ's today.

a few weeks ago i took one of these apart:





took the bolts and gave them a proper cleaning



to



today was time for the lips considering its raining out so i couldnt work on the car itself.

after about an hour and a half of hand sanding i ended up with this





its only at 400 grit so it has a long way till mirror polishing, but its getting there.

well now that most of the major work is done i have been getting to all of the little bits. todays issue was the trunk lock. mine was crushed and the cylinder wouldnt spin at all




i went down to my warehouse and picked up one of my spares from down there.



rather then just putting in the spare lock and using the second key for the trunk i decided i was going to swap out all the lock slides so the new lock cylinder would accept my stock key and match all the doors with the stock key.



took everything apart





ended up with 1 like new lock cylinder and all these parts from the stock cylinder. the one that was in my car had rust on the washer and lock ring and the inners were oxodized as can be seen in the following pic



the finished cylinder is on the car and functions perfect. i forgot to take a pic of the finished cylinder so ill try and get one tomorrow.

i have started shaving the drivers side engine bay. right now im still clearing up all the wiring so i only have what is essential.

ya. i would have shut my car off. after it as all done he told me i could leave. his car was parked half way in the street, even with my upper body out the window i couldnt see the cars coming. considering its a big high traffic road i wasnt about to just pull out and hope. he flashed his lights at me 2 times before he finally went around me. i dont know how he expected me to see through his cruiser

yep. i believe he was just pulling me over thinking i was doing something illegal in the car.

i was pretty alone where i was. main roads but no traffic at that time. i turned down this really bumpy road so i was going real slow. i could see the front end of a black car parked around the first corner. as soon as i passed i saw it was a cop. sure enough he came right out behind me. he was close on my ass and from experience with my last e30 i know if a cop is behind me he is going to pull me over whether he has a reason or not. so i made the first turn into the old ice rink not even a block from where he came out and he passed by slow. i waited a few minutes then got back on the road. about a block up the road there is a clearing and a parking lot for a lawn mower repair shop. as soon as i got there i saw him waiting, he came right out behind me, as soon as the light turned green he turned his lights and siren on.

he had me sitting there for 15-20 minutes, i was getting pissed off. if i hadnt just put on the new aux fan and the new thermostat my car would have overheated.
