She originally came with just one attached but I removed it as it was not actually connected to a power source.

Your wish is my command. Not rolling shots though.

Something that I have noticed. The LHS rear wheel sits a tiny bit further out. Now, I'm not sure if it is the wheel sitting further out or if the guard itself has been pushed in a bit or the RHS guard has been flared a bit.

Either way, we have 7.5" wheels at the rear wrapped in 205/45's that are clearly inside the guards. Super keen to get the rear down a spline now, should look a tonne better level.

    • Took her out for her first drive today. Got in the car and the first thing I noticed was that the steering was super bad. Got to the petrol station just down the road and filled her up ready for a road trip out to lunch at Hahndorf and saw that the front left wheel had lost all its air.

So we have a leak. Which sucks. I need to get the tyre stripped and then suss out where the leak is. Sikaflex it up again and get the tyre re-fitted. Need to figure out how to do it all before I leave next Saturday.

Cheers man! Does suck there is a leak, but hopefully can get it all sorted in the next couple of days so that I don't have to worry about anything more on the drive over.

          Definitely needs an altitude adjustment.

          • One of my old friends told me to try clear silicone the next time I seal my wheels instead of the black stuff. Apparently the clear stuff flexes a little more and provides a better seal.

Yeah, I know why it didn't seal, they got a bit aggressive putting the tyres on, such is life.

              • The reason for leaking is not the stuff you are using, but the way you are using it. The black sikalfex is perfectly fine for years to come.

When you seal the rim you have to clean the area with care and then apply only thin line of sealant in the area between the lips. Like this:

In your rims the stuff seems to be all over the place. Not where is should be.

                • I have sealed my wheels the same way about 6 times now, and never had them leak.
Like I said above, the reason as to why this one didn't hold it's seal would be due to the way they handled the wheel when putting the tyre on.

                  • So, got the tyre taken off and as I expected, there's a nice little hole where they put the tyre leaver. Such is life.

Will remove all the sealant tonight and re-seal, hopefully this time nothing bad happens. The blokes must love it when I come in, always have a good laugh.

There is some form of knocking coming from the rear, so I am going to have to get the car up on axle stands and see if I can figure out what the knocking is. Everything was fine until the drive home from Hahndorf when it started.

                    • Last night I got out and re-sealed the wheel. Put the valve stem back in tonight.

I also figured out what the knocking out the back was. At first I thought it might have been a bent wheel, went to remove them and some of the nuts had rattled loose as shit. Oops! Anyway, grabbed a few photos of the front fitment and rear fitment.

Tomorrow morning I'm getting the tyre re-fitted and then back on. Hopefully all is good and no more issues.
Then tomorrow night I'll change it over and start packing the car with all my stuff for the drive over to Melbourne early Saturday morning.

Nah, they're the right ones, 14mm acorn seats. I used a rattle gun to tighten them up, didn't think to check with a wheel brace. Never again will I trust just a rattle gun.

Got the tyre fitted this morning (no clunking from the rear on the drive there either) and there are no leaks. Will fit the wheel up tonight and then start packing the car getting ready for the drive over.

                            • So I went to install the RS tonight and it's fucking deflated again.

Will have to suss out when I get to Melbourne with some of the boys as to what the fuck is going on but seriously over it.
