    So, back on the floor.

The logo itself. Hopefully I can get some seats from Chris, just need to tee up a time.

    I **** these fucking stickers.

These are the RS' that will be built for Anja. Probably not for a while.

Why hello there sir! Was waiting for when you chimed in

Yeah, going to repaint her the original colour (current colour) and black roof I reckon.
Make it all nice and glossy. Turn her into a very clean car but not necessarily fitted.

Then the plan is to get a sign writer to paint the Lowly Gentlemen 67 on the doors. Then she'll be done paint wise.

Worked on Anja a bit during the week.

Installed a new battery using the original securing thingy, now I can tick the battery not being secured off my list.

I then did a dodgy to fix the fuses, so that everything was all working (headlights, interior light, horn, hazards) by doing the following...

All the lights are working now, which is excellent. I even removed the foglight!

Now to use the next picture to photoshop wheels etc in.

Just one more thing to do interior wise is patching up this tear in the rear seat.

Aha all of the builds I am aware of have dodgy stuff in them too. Once it clears the defect I shall purchase a new fuse box and clean up all the wiring underneath.

I got a permit last week to drive Anja to a VW specialist here in Adelaide to get them to raise it, supply and install new shocks and supply and install bump stops.

I drove her there this morning and boy did it feel good to be driving an old Volkswagen again. I don't think I could wipe the smile off my face.

There was some sort of clunking noise at speed which I'll need to diagnose when I get her back, which will be in a couple of days. Then it's just the interior, wiring and plumbing in the windscreen washer motor, fixing a small bit of rust on the undercarriage and she's ready to go for clearing the defect.

Stupid keen to drive her on the weekends and every chance I get really. Then I can start planning the modifications I want to do!

Quick update, clunking noise was from longer bolts in the LHS rear brake drum being too long and hitting the brake shoes.

Rear brake shoes have to be replaced, as well as hoses as there was a small weeping in the brake line. This adventure to GHR is going to be expensive, but if it means the car is roadworthy and I can drive it around without a worry in the world, I will be happy.

Once it gets resprayed factory colour and clear coated, it'll definitely pop like it would have when it first came out.

                        Super excited.

Called in to see how they were going.

I seriously love talking to old timers. Have the best stories about what they used to get up to with their old Volkswagens.

Anyway, as the car was up on the hoist I was able to inspect the underbody better. I was able to see what went wrong with the rear brakes and what needed to be replaced. The front bump stop mounts seem to have been destroyed a bit from its previous life being stupid low so we will see what the guys at GHR can come up with to fix that issue.

I'm going to get some underbody tar and apply that to the pan as soon as I get her home. This will cover up the small pin prick hole that I found near the battery tray this morning.

There was something else I found out this morning but it escapes me now. Hopefully I can get the car back to mine tomorrow morning.

I drove Anja back home from her adventure to GHR this evening.

In the end the following was done.
                            - Raised the rear suspension.
                            - Rectified the damage to the RHR bump stop mount.
                            - Refit rear bump stops.
                            - Replaced front and rear shockers.
                            - Replaced rear wheel cylinders.
                            - Cleaned up the brake shoes.
                            - New brake fluid.
                            - Rectified horn.

Unfortunately it did cost quite a bit but it was necessary to get the car back to roadworthy. I still need to fit the windscreen washer motor, fix the tear in the rear seat, and paint the underbody.

Here she is back home and raised back to factory.

Interior wise everything is working now, including the interior light! Thank you fuses.

I'm just glad she's back home and in working order. Over the next couple of nights I'll do the above and get her ready for a trip back to Regency next week some time.
