I like the platform. I'm just pretty much tired of the 'scene' Too many fanboys putting wheels on their car and getting credit for killing the game. Whatever that means.

Aren't we all a little crazy to be modding? Thanks man!

I feel like your descriptions of the work you do on your car is how everyone on here works on their cars...

It goes from: "This is gonna be easy..." To four hours later, tons of cussing, some busted knuckles, and several thoughts of setting the car on fire... then to, finally-f-ing-done. Then, still not satisfied and f-it i'll do it all over again, but better.

    Keep up the great work!

PS - yay good job putting lacey on the map :P
Yeah man, you nailed it. It always seems like it's going to be so easy.

    Updates!

Got my 5 speed, 18g and injectors sold today. More money to dump into the hoopty!
Enjoy some updated progress shots from the fab shop. I'm getting excited about how this is turning out.

I'll post more photos as I get them.

Pretty much exactly how I feel about most Subarus out there right now. Tired of the same old.

That might be a bit of an over reaction.

The Odyssey PC680 is widely used for battery relocation because it's small and it can be oriented onto its side. It does NOT meet the cold cranking amps "requirement" that Subaru recommends. If you live in a place that's extremely cold or you use a lot of auxiliary electrical equipment it might not be your best choice. There is a lot of good information about them on NASIOC if you want to read up further.

    Big update!

    New parts:
    Cosworth reverse intake manifold
Wilwood 6/4 pot big brake kit
Cobb 6 speed double adjustable short shifter
    1/2 inch fender bracing
    full 6 speed bushing kit
    Solid motor mounts

Since I last posted on here, lots of good stuff has happened. A buddy of mine let me borrow his cherry picker and game over to give me a hand. We knocked off the rest of the exhaust, dropped the driveline and pulled the motor and tranny in one shot. No problem.

After the motor was out, we separated it from the trans and got it ready to go to it's buyer.
I deleted out the brake booster (I'm not going to be using it) and removed the harness from the firewall as well as the clutch res., etc.

I spent the rest of the time getting the interior the rest of the way gutted. The fold down bench seat in the rear was taken out ( I plan to run four chairs) as well as the carpet and strut tower covers.

The car sat for a weekend and then got loaded up onto a flat bed to go up to the fabricator.

I got these photos today of the front tubs mocked up and I am beyond excited!

And just for fun, here is a teaser of the widebody rear end mocked up on the car:

More updates as I get them!

Some of it. I'm keeping the coilovers and axle back. The down pipe and up pipe are up for grabs. So are the brakes. Send me a PM if you're interested in any of it, and we can work something out.

Thanks, and thanks for keeping up even with the long break.

I met up and sold some more parts today. I'm doing a motorcycle safety course this week. After that, I'm going to spend some time pulling the turbo, exhaust, etc in prep to pull the motor out and put it up for sale.

In the mean time, my eyes are open for an STI 6 speed.
