Swirl pot/coolant flange on, catch can on, ECU should be back from United Motorsport any day now. I'm missing the lower intercooler pipe (one that replaces the pancake pipe) from my Eurojet kit, I'm pretty sure they just didn't send me that peice :angry: otherwise that could be going on soon too. Still need to figure out what I'm going to do for an intake, as I have to run a Pro-MAF.. Any ideas??

More progress pictures, decided to polish the AC lines, rather than leaving them in the brushed finish. :thumbup:







I'll have some pictures of the freshly finished interior later today aswell. That should all be going back in this weekend, then the battery can finally go in and the air setup can get finished wiring up too.

Yes. This project was taken on with SOWO being the goal and I'll be damned if I miss that goal. Its coming down to the wire, but It'll be there come hell or high water!

Got the interior all put back together last night. Looks amazing!

Got a bunch done today. Finished up the boost piping, that was a PITA, but ended up getting really lucky on some half assed measurements. All the wiring is done, just need to make a ground in the trunk for the battery and I can power the car up. Hooked up all the A/C hoses, buttoned up all the fan relay wiring.

To do list:

-go over all the air line connections & finish the false floor
-route N75 valve -- where is everybody mounting theirs?
-polish intercooler piping
-zip tie up the E-Level sensor wires
-ground the battery and a few other grounds associated with the air setup
-fill & bleed all fluids
-route brake booster line
-put a serp belt on
-wire up the fuel pump
-wire up the PRO-MAF
-get an alignment
-install new headunit so I can bump Journey on Eidelwiess at SOWO

That's basically it off the top of my head.







Almost forgot to mention that on the way home from the shop tonight the transmission took a dump on me in my D2 A8.. Not too happy about that.

Well what a drive it was to get the car done. I put in 10-12+ hour days working on her for a week straight. Ended up getting it towed to Further Performance in Minneapolis last Thursday night. We worked on her from 8am-2am the next day, and I drive the car home that night. On the way home my power steering pump took a shit on me, so early the next morning (2 hours before we all were supposed to leave for SOWO) we replaced that, and then my starter took a shit on me. After we replaced that I drove it from Minneapolis to Helen Georgia in two days without a single issue. The car is an absolute riot! Come check it out at the show if you're coming!

Well, so I guess this means mission accomplished? Feels good to actually be chosen for this. Out of the 1000+ cars to have one of the top 50.. Couldn't be happier!

Went to Euro Hangar in Holland Michigan this weekend and took home a top twenty along with the other 3 cars in the Lowered Values booth. 'Twas a successful weekend!

Completely forgot that I had a build thread on here.

Let me catch you up. The car ran pretty much flawless all summer long. I put about 12,000 miles on everything since early May. Only hiccups I had were burning a few O2 sensors up because I was running a bit too rich and I still am as the tune isn't finalized. Hopefully after I finish up what I have planned for this season I can book some dyno time to get it dialed. I'm currently running 29 LBS and seeing AFR's of 12:1. So I have a little room to go up.. Jeff at United Motorsports will be needed to dial it in.

I further cleaned up the vaccum lines this past summer. I relocated the vaccum distribution block to the back of the motor right next to the oil drain for the turbo. Cleaned up the front of the motor so goddamn much. Aside from cleaning it religiously and driving the piss out of it that was the extent of work done to it this last season.

The car was shot for PVW in early November and I'm hoping for the April issue.

So this leaves me with my llns for the winter.. I've sold the CCW LM5T's a while back and ordered a set of staggered CCW D240's shortly after.



They will be on my doorstep on Tuesday. I've also sold the air setup to a local buddy so I can make room for a new setup from Greg (swoops). The overall theme I want to achieve is a "primadonna" look. You know, white centered wheels, gold hardware and a red/gold centercap. I'm going to take that a step further and incorporate it into the engine bay, and the air setup. Everything that is currently gold, will be stripped and turned a metallic bright white with a ton of gold plated hardware and other bits. The red will be incorporated in a couple things. The bay is going to be crazy after this. I'm also re-doing the boost piping to eliminate all visible silicone and I'll be switching to vanjen style clamps.

Oh I also put some tarox 6pots on it. These things are freakin HUGE.
