yesterday and today searching air leaks on rear airbags
a floor jack, water with soap and go!
today I'm focuse on the one on the left (right one done yesterday)
nearer :
removed the airbag
dismantling the 2 aluminium parts of the brackets that press and enclose(?approximative english?) the rubber
mounting again but this time with a lot of WD40 between rubber lip and the 2 aluminium parts
when I mounted them 2 weeks ago that was without any grease or soap or WD40, sadly rubber was sticking to aluminium, so I can't make the 2 aluminium parts touch eachself and enclose correctly the rubber lip, don't wanted to torque the screws too much, thread is dirct in the aluminium...
but this time, it was very slippery and so... good!
re mount on car, put airline, give some pressure and re-test with water and soap... and alright! no more leak :
was rather happy and so just for fun, put the car on its wheels and made 2 pics of the airbag :
off-road mode
in-the-ground mode
that's it!Last edited by RENAUD; 02-04-2014, 04:07 PM.

today, I've done a last thing to make the rear go a bit more lower, I removed the bumpstops from the rear shocks
very simple, not even necessary to remove the shock, just the wheel... take a cutter and done
that's it, 15mm lower! (more than half an inch)
and the result after modifying this last 2 weeks : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUoMV...ature=youtu.be
and a few pics
very happyLast edited by RENAUD; 02-02-2014, 03:36 PM.
