No, the hair was driving me mad... People don't realise it's actually a considerable effort to deal with that much hair day in and day out.

Main things that I'm glad about is now being able to drive with the window down, sleep without constantly moving my hair to keep it out from under my back and being able to towel-dry my hair after a shower.

You could say it was for a lady friend because I'm single, and I got jealousy rather than affection for the hair...

I've been taking it slow with the car, mostly because I was completely stumped on it... I was really close to selling it on and getting something that worked - I was looking at E12s, E23/E24s, even VW Type 3s, but I am properly reinvigorated now, and I might even make the Halfway Hangs deadline (6th February).

I'll try to get to a wrecker to sort out the few bits I need this week, and then the fun task of putting the dash back together

I movered the car because the tenants got out of the way. Now I'm self-conscious of having a mostly dis-assembled, unregistered car, basically parked on the road. No skid because a: parents still home. b: HECTIC knocking from driveshaft even while going <5kph. c: probably running on 4 cylinders currently.

Other news: given up on fixing the interior crap, there is nothing at a decent price/at all around the area, so I should be doing door cards tomorrow, hopefully make some progress on getting the dashboard in tomorrow too, but it's #worstmechanicinaus x #wonderboypreb doing work, so w/e. Should pick up front struts this weekend, then fill windscreen chip and Supercheap Auto seat cover the HECK out of my driver's seat.

If I'm feeling strange, I might even put the bumpers back on too.

Well seeing that you are actually making some progress on the car, you might not be the worst mechanic in the world... there might still be hope for you to just become a mildly bad mechanic...
