Yeah, so it all looks good aye!? Where's the catch, have you stumbled into the wrong build thread? Most certainly not.

• Front bumper on, but can't find bolts for the centre plastic part
• Dash in, but missing an air vent
• Door cards in, but could only find 2 (of 8) bolts to hold armrests in, so fronts are somewhat secure, but rears don't have armrests for now
• That seat cover is just about the cheapest most disgusting thing ever
• Roundel comes from an E30 boot and has a funky curve to it so it doesn't sit flat

And the serious problems now
First of all, I tried to reverse it up our street to get it into the garage, but it honestly didn't have enough power to go up the hill, so I went around the block, and the driveshaft knock is beyond bad.

Tried to put the rear bumper back on, but I realised I don't have the nuts required


After a few days in the garage, Dad told me to get my hunk of junk out so he could put the Lotus back in. I put a bit of injector cleaner in the tank before moving it out, and I thought it was running a bit better than before. Dad comes up to me with a piece of rubber saying it looks like a piece of drive belt, and sure enough the SC is cactus. I honestly cannot be bothered with it, so it will be NA B27lyf for me until I can afford an engine swap.

After having looked around for an M30 for some time, I've decided that it's simply not worth it, and with the relatively large amount of boganmobile Commodores around, you can pick up an LS1 for about the same price, which seems to me to be a much better option, but I don't have the dolla dolla bills for that at all, so it's gonna be funtimes with the M20 for now.

Until I break something else.

It's pretty common here in the states that you can get some sort of running v8 powered behemoth for less than the engine is worth. Have you looked into getting a whole car just for the engine? It's what white out did when he ls1 swapped his porsche, he took the engine, tranny, and wiring and sold the rest.

You can get a VT SS commodore with an LS1 and a manual for like $3k

Proceed to drift it into things until the body is fucked, then use motor and box in car of choice.

Hi there Stance|Works fans!
I was away this weekend for (probably) the best automotive event in the country; Streetkarnage Halfway Hangs. Had an absolutely mad rowdy time, got pretty messy, enjoyed myself immensely and shot a buttload of film.

Having had a chat to some knowledgeable people over the weekend and feeling motivated after seeing such great cars, I decided to pull some spark leads today. To my surprise, the car is not running on 4 cylinders...

It is in fact, running on 2 cylinders... If you do your maths, you will realise this means the car has an equivalent displacement of 900cc, and at stock power, if divided linearly, this engine would make an incredible 30hp(!!!).
Sparks 1&4 are still firing (cylinders 1&6), and when the 1&4 spark leads are taken off whilst the engine is running, it will die and continue to spark onto the lead. The other sparks don't do this. Pretty sure that means the ICM/coils are dead. I'll see if I can find a replacement tomorrow.

Reasonably certain that the ICM is the problem, because 1&4 are still arcing to the leads(they're on the same coil) and the others aren't.
