I think my mate could be an #evenworsemechanic than you... Halfway through his exhaust install he starts banging spanners against the chassis rails and says "I give up, someone else do it..." We all turn around laugh and mention to him that if he doesn't finish it, he's not going anywhere lol.

Well, this "build" is about 18 months old, and we'll have to see how it goes when I come to putting the exhaust back on. I've probably lost all the bolts and gaskets anyway.

I've had a bunch of people try to buy the car off me, but I valiantly pushed them off and their offers of piles of money. Our bond is worth more than gold and silver. (nah but I felt a bit silly afterwards, maybe I should have at least heard their offer)

Gotta get her ready in time SoWo! (j/k that's on the other side of the planet, but I feel left out)

I think she's firing on all cylinders now! I went down to have a looksee if the battery dying reset the spark output in the ECU and it didn't. So, that wasn't the issue. I nearly gave up after that, but I thought I should at least have a look at what was going on in the engine bay...

Retightened the connector on the ICM and guess what. She fired right up (that's for you @miroteknik)

... And immediately died. TunerStudio tells me there's some sort of Megasquirt conflict. I probably should have tried running it without the laptop attached but I was too excited about it starting up (and without mucking about with the throttle either!)

Anyway, that has somewhat lifted my sour mood for the day.
