You know what they say... The only things in life you should regret aren't the things you did, but the ones you DIDN'T do.

So when the idea of an engine transplant occured to us, this moment would come.

It is a sad moment. And I was not happy doing it.

Especially while I was seeing all the effort and time put into this project, written all over the quality and condition of parts I was removing.

All of the parts to follow will propably go for sale, however I dont know if I will make subjects in classifieds and all. Maybe on ebay. If not locally we shall see.

If anyone is interested, you know me, you know how to find me and let me know what you might want.

First I removed the brains of the car, to make it feel no pain I guess.

    First boost pipe came off

    CF Engine Cover

    Dump Tube

PTE 6262 in excellent condition and TiAL 44mm

    Another boost pipe

Engine bay started to look empty as time went by

Because this was removed as well

Custom Intake Manifold with AEB/AGU runners and R32 76mm Throttle Body

    Fuel Rail with Injectors

RS4 Grilles could now be fitted , just to say I installed something today, and not only removed - LoL

    Exhaust Manifold was removed too

head was also removed, as a whole, nothing unbolted from it

and then we saw the state of the engine. Here is where it gets really interesting.

To tell you the truth, I should be very happy to see what I saw with Tom. An engine so clean from everyday use, from pulls with high boost, revving, and yet, like it was new. I should be happy. But I wasnt really, cause I am sad to let this engine go. I wish I could say, screw it, I will throw it on my MKV Golf.

Then I will need a 3rd car, a new daily to do it. I hope I dont go that way, and install the engine on the Golf.
But you never know sometimes, do you

More pictures tomorrow, as I hope to do some more work on the engine bay

    Cheers everyone

So the Audi, is now, with no wheels, due to this happening . . . .

OZs will go for sale propably, all 5 of them I guess, so I am on the hunt for another set of wheels for the Audi. We shall see.

So, it has been nothing but fun these past days. Travelling here and there. Some pics that I have uploaded while I found a network to play with .

No matter the road, the Golf has done great so far, like a champ. I love this car. I really do. The fun is not over yet. Summer in Greece lasts for a good while.

    Cheers

Last night, we had some time to play with Tom with the 2JZ, and thought why the hell not.

    These came off first

    Bye bye exhaust cam

    Aggresiveness

Pile of parts was getting bigger

It also had this on it

And then this, had to come off

    Yummy on engine condition

Tom inspected the engine block, which was actually brand new, even had the pattern on the cylinder walls

    3.0 Love

    Cheers everyone.

    So.

Had some time on the car before summer time in greek beauties

Fixed an issue here for not cutting myself while working

    Before

    After

    Interior-wise

    Bye bye roof

    A-pillar on

And then I threw on the door cards so as to get them out of the crowded garage

    it's all in the detail

Then Tom came to inspect the engine we chose, and as you can easily tell, it was removal-of-things-time

    So damn clean and fresh

Then, I did some more work today

    I like em in six'es

Then I removed the engine loom so as to work more comfortably on the engine

    Overnight things from Japan

    Yeap

    Much better  :doublesho

Time for the other VC removal

    So nice they are separate

    Keepin it clean

    More work tomorrow

Did quite some work without even knowing it

    Cheers
