Some more progress from today .

It was mostly about final prepping of the body for paint, and painting the doors. in between I found the time to tackle some other little things, that needed my attention.

Like this. The IC. Which was tired looking

Here is a kind of 50:50 I did while cleaning it

I also cleaned the Mocal Oil Cooler

    Good to go

Now, like I said, doors were painted

    Here they are

Now where did that mark of their widening go . . .

    Nope

    Cant see it

Doors outside the paint booth - Yummy . . .

Now another thing I wanted to do was the following. Let me guide you through the photos

Removed the wheels - the Audi and the VW one

Leaving the car like this for a while

    Before

    During

    And finally, afterwards, wrinkled/textured black

I know it is someone, no one will even know, or notice, however I am very glad it came out that way

I also started bolting parts on the car parts, getting ready for things to come

Sneaky pic of bumper with grille

Cheers, more to come tomorrow, hopefully, more paint.

So where were we . Oh yes. More bodyshop work done.

Let me put things in order. These days have mostly been about sanding and checking, sanding and then checking again, to achieve the perfect finish.
Both for the eye, but mostly for the hand.

    Getting there

minimum amount of filler used, due to great bodywork, and I am very happy about that

    Car prepped for primer

    Now where did that fuel cap go . . . seriously . . .

    I know it was here somewhere . . .

    Nope, nowhere

    Doors were also prepped

    And primered

    Ready for paint tomorrow

Given the chance, I decided to clean all the locking systems of the car

    Rear ones

    50:50

Happy with how they turned out like new

    More to come tomorrow

    Cheers

    Mike

I'd seen progress shots here and there on Audizine and was thrilled to find this build thread! Some things are a little over the top for my taste, but I can appreciate the work going into this car.

With the B7 RS4 being my favorite Audi body style you've got me hooked! I really admire the quality of work going into the conversion. You can tell these guys take a lot of pride in what they're doing!

That wide body packed with a 2JZGTE is a great recipe for a uniquely awesome car! I wouldn't mind that combination over a showroom stock RS4 at all!
