So. Since Easter days are gone here in Greece, time for some updates.

First of all I received something from the dealership. A front bumper part.

I will explain later why I posted the last pic.

Then, I got back from work, and found something big inside my car

    Hmmmm...

Had to see what it was

Ten minutes later, and after a LOT of cutting

    and then . . .

    Yummy . . .

    Condition was excellent

    to say the least

And yes you guessed correctly, I had to test to see it

    Bye bye A4 bumper

    Hello RS4 bumper

    Side difference

    Removed the silver oem part

Went a bit anal and cleaned it

    And installed mine

    Some more photos with it

Sorry old bumper , you gotta go - LoL

Stay tuned guys, more to come.

    Cheers

So. Some things have been happening the past few days.

Let's see. Mike Hood @ Ringer Racing, sent me over these photos from the things I am about to collect from him.

Here it is next to his GT35

    It's massive, I like it

I also did some work on the interior, mostly more cleaning, waiting for the cage and lexan windows to arrive, sometime after Easter vacations

handbrake assembly looking very sorry for itself

Came out great with a bit of elbow grease

And as for the RS4-Go Wide-Project, I have some progress to show . . .

    I sourced a front bumper

then I sourced a rear bumper (in imola yellow, yes)

    Then a sideskirt

So S4 door blades will have to go when time comes

Then I got an RS4 grille

Then I got some fog light grilles

I also ordered the front bumper lower trim, the one that goes below the grille, in black - very expensive for such a small piece - damn vip rs4 parts

So , given I have the front fenders already, in my mind, what is left, parts-wise are:

-the rear - extremely expensive fenders
    -one sideskirt
    -front arch liners perhaps
-rear doors will be made to fit in the body-shop, no need for rs4 ones

i cant think of anything else at the moment. We shall see. No rush, I will take my time

had a defect that was bothering me on the driver's door trim

Nothing I cant fix with the help of these, and my precious Kestrel DA

    All done

Not sure I will be keeping those, or make new door cards, but I had to fix it

Ordered these from the dealership today

    OEM RS4 Fog Light Grilles

but then again, I need a front RS4 bumper to put them on. . . hmmm...

So, lost no time, and thought I had to make an effort to fit the mirrors by myself.

Started by trying several templates, until I seemed to get it right

    testing with the mirror mounted

    Seems we are getting somewhere

    Passenger side done as well

Time to paint them in my professional heated paint-booth - or not - lol

    Sanded

    Primed

    Let's get these on

    Passenger's side

So this a general pic of how it looks

but I am waiting for Kostas to take some proper pics, cause I was too tired and out of time to even make an attempt for it. besides he will take better pics either way, so why bother, lol.

    Cheers guys

Careful with an open impeller, even the tiniest rock can damage it and take bits of engine with it.

So, there have been some updates to show the past days.

Quality tools are never too many

New OEM front floormats in black

And a new package delivered - a really nice one

You know what they say about objects in mirrors

    Well it's true

Also got these from the post office for the daily, so it was indeed a mirror day today.

    Cheers

So, after the AC Removal in the past, and the Heater Unit removal lately, there were some holes in the firewall, that needed some attention.

    Made a template with carton

Thought about aluminium, either painted of wrapped, however I thought another alternative that would be fun

Used this to avoid any leaks, awesome product for oem quality work

    yeap, it's plexiglass alright

Then continued to the second spot, which was harder

    Again, carton template

    Plexiglass first mock-up

    And secured in place

    Inside

    Engine Side

Then, the place from where the coolant lines for the heater went inside the cabin.

    Rubber seal

    Plexiglass delete

    Secured in place

    All done

    Cheers

    I love my CF mirrors.

    However . . .

The enemy of good, is better. So:

    Removed this

    Both out

    Insulated with Tesa fabric tape

    Leaving me with this

Which I like very much actually

    And then, these were ordered

The universal set, and we will make templates of our own to bolt them on

    Cant wait

    Cheers
