Travis welded up the front fender while I finished the gas pedal. The car feels so much better with a proper gas pedal and not some small bent rod to push on. I will sand down the clutch and brake pedal tomorrow. Also the last fender should be completed this weekend.
time for the last fender. It was rotted out on the whole fender lip, so i was forced to make my own out of the front fender lips that I cut off. After about 3 hours of measuring and argueing, me and 3 freinds managed to get the rear fenders to sit at the same height. the framework is done and now it just needs keys to be welded in.
rebuilding a fender from other fenders cut-out of the car, damn. Props just for that.
The arches look a little bit square to me, but I do like the progress. Keep at it!

I appreciate it man, it took us some time but was worth it. We are trying to keep the flares structural and strong because when the rear is aired out, all the weight will be on the flare. The fenders do appear kinda square but after a little bit of bondo, they should take shape.
I say do what feels right in your gut. Don't worry about the people of the internet.
What are you even asking about anyways? Having the car flat olive green with copper wheels? Or olive green lips with copper faces?
I'm considering having the car flat olive green with copper wheels. I'm not worried about the opinions of others, I'm just always open to other colors that I haven't thought of yet. Flat green was always lurking in the back of my mind.

I just thought you were already set on the car's color choice so I was a bit confused, but I know how that goes. I toss color combo's for my '02 around all the time. That would definitely be a cool combo though, given the raw interior. That would sort of give it a post-apocalyptic, almost steampunkish kind of look. With the wild rear fenders and raw seats, I think a rugged/raw look is what you should be going for. All my opinion, of course.
