its weird, the guy owned it since 72 but didnt take care of it, but he was a car guy enough to swap the motor and trans, and to redrill the strut tops as a custom camber adjustment, alex has a book with all his calculations and stuff.

also he had no attachment to the car he was like "oh boy a lowball offer, ill take it"

thats just the trunk, look at the rest of this shitter
    driver

    behind driver

passenger, you cant really tell how bad this is because of the tar and fiberglass, but it can be lifted out with ease

Why aren't the MKII wheels on it already? I know you have the ricer lug nuts to do it.

Also next time I'm over i'll re-re-wire it. So that green is no longer the hot wire.
Also I have a rivet gun.
Ive had class and work, but the honda may be leaving soon so funds for the "parts car" probably just be the new body though

here is one of the shittiest places on the body, im pretty sure someone probably 150 years ago replaced the rear panel and did a bad job so now its terrible, this is why i am not going to try to save this body

    now just random pics

Rear fitment is tight doe, probably need to roll/trim that

    dat classy interior

and to show you how a black front end hides the fact that i could make a better nose pan out of ply wood

i realize there is paint and tarp stuck to the tire, i drove off the tarp before it was 100% dry
that is all thanks for looking at my painted pile of rust

ok so i said i was gonna do street sign floors because of the rust, but i dont think you guys get how bad it is, this car doesnt just have just holes, i could lift the floors out its rusted so bad
    sorry for the iphone pictures

the paint is almost dry so maybe i will get some pictures of the rest of the rust, and holes
also as the paint dried its coming out kinda yellow, i dont like it, so it may change colors in the next month

one of my old teachers just offered me a 2002 parts car, and its tan, only $400 if i can find a place for it ill buy it, it has a good hood trunk, and brakes, but honestly i should probably just throw my motor in, but how fun would that be, ill let you know

as for the fart can that has been gone for a while and will never return

I understand it was in pretty rough shape, and can appreciate that you're at least showing it some attention, but pre-paint that thing was really really rough looking lol. That said, the new color is cool. Get rid of the Ken Block wheels and maybe put a floor in it, and you could pull it off. When done right, you can still have a really cool car with a lot of character even if it is a beater.
    All of this.

The wheels would work fine with a simple coat of medium silver paint, and the front end should match the rest of the car. Even if the bodywork is beat, it will look better.

And, if all else fails, faux-tina it and make it look like an old racecar- paint it all tan, then remove some of the paint to make the old red/black show through to look aged.

    Example:

I agree with Willis on this one about trying to hide stuff with flat black. Why not just fix it properly and paint the whole car tan? Also, get rid of that ricer exhaust.

i like where this is moving. I think if the whole car is tan with those mesh wheels, it could look good.
