I know where you're coming from.

Actually rather strange.. I have been pricing up SR20's for the past few months.. Coincidence you should bring one up. Not sure if one would fit in a 6n bay mind, they are tiny. More research to be done

          YEEEYY MOT DAY.

Failed on N/S Trackrod End and both Headlights were angled too high.
Bought the trackrod end, had it fitted in 10mins, took the car back down for a Re-Test and she is safe for another year!

Tracking went very very slightly out after the end was changed.. Got the toes aligned so everything was tip top and ready for action..

Was hoping to get the car into the bodyshop for the rear bumper this week so its ready for Early Edition on the 14th but they are fully booked until after it so going to get the rust, front end and rear bumpers sorted alla t once at the end of the month in time for Modified nationals in May.

Sadly won't be in attendance of Early Edition now, shame, enjoyed it last year. If I do go it wont be in the oloP

I decided too that the Mazdaspeeds will be a second set of show wheels. Plans for these are secret though. Will look AMAZING when they are finished. Rota's are soon to be re-done after bodywork also.

Don't lose interest just yet guys. Plenty more to come after the big bills are out of the way.

Ahh mate but America gets some far cooler cars that we would never see in our lifetime!
Polo's would do well over there too I'd say. Plus there would be less chance of rusting than over here.

                    Wheel update..

Started the refurb of the Rota's. Lips are spidered and corroded and the paint was getting re-done anyway.

Usually take stuff like thids to a professional, but thought i'd have a crack at it myself. Results are completelly by hand, no machine polishing or buffing.

Started on 120, 240, 400, 600, 800, 1500 and then finished on 2500. Then ther are only two coats of meguiars metel (tub) polish. Shine is gettig bette with every coat.

And a picture to show before and after. By far not perfect, but most if not all curbing removed and 99% of corrosion got to and sorted

Will crack on with the other three in the next few days and get them ready for paint.

Yet ANOTHER setback... Came out of work to find my rear quarter creased and dented where someone has SMASHED their car door into my car. Removed a section of paint from the shoulder line of the car and dented above and bellow it. Not even a note to say sorry.

Pet **** is people bumping car doors.

Car is booked for bodyshop on 6th May to get (i hope) everything that needs sorting done.

OI, won't have that said! Nout wrong with Rota's haha Plus they havent been on the car for months so can't use that as an excuse :P

                          __________________________________________________ ____________

                          So..

Few things are currently going on as we speak..

The car has once again, urgh, once again gone upto the bodyshop for rear bumper, rear quarters, rust, front chips and a smooth bonnet. Been gone for a week so should be getting it back I'd say mid-week. Gutted I couldn't make japfest to piss people off after the Fastcar thing

Had to fit a new Downpipe/Flexi/Cat as My flexy was completelly shot and shounded like i had a Spitfire under my bonnet. Yet another cost I don't need trying to get the car back to former glory!

Also.. Rota's are now a complete set of freshly polished and painted wheels. By far not perfect but for hand polishing and aerosols the finish is more than good enough for me.. I've ordered new lettering for the centres of the wheels and am still waiting for them to arrive. No more fake stickers like the last owner put on them, clown.

Also started to re-colour my cage to match the wheels. Just need to get to my local Hellfrauds to get the paint to finish it.

Pictures.. DIY Spray booth was the tits!

Car getting taken apart ready for paint..

                          Wheels on next!

Good to see a 6N getting some love. As other have said, this was a tough read at first, but it progressed well. I love the cage that's in it. The fact that the red is so stupid gives it a real WRC vibe imo.
Would love to see you track down a nice set of Genuine Jap wheels in 15x7 or something. In this case, 4x100 is your friend (be thankful you're not 5x100 like us newer Polo owners!).

Do us (and yourself) a favour though. Instead of these endless trips to the body shop (the bonnet smoothing as the most recent one, for example), write out a list of EVERYTHING you would ever do to the body and get it all done once and done right. I don't know what sort of deal you've got with your body guy but he's getting a lot of business out of you. Also, you've got shit luck. I feel so bad for you man, if I ever walk out to my Polo with anything like that damage I'd go postal.

Never fuck with another mans automobile.

                            Keep it up!

                              Cheers man!

I'm looking for some new wheels at the mo, nothing taking my fancy though. MAzdaspeeds are genuine if that counts?

The bodyshop trips arent to modify the car.. Its merely repairs. So this time it was bumper, dents, rust and the bonnet was creased and paint cracked from when someone sat on it at a show last year. So seeming as the bonnet was getting done i thought I'd smooth off the jets as I take my wipers off at shows anyway.

And I get good prices at the bodyshop I go too.. Near enough trade prices so Its not as bad as some people think. Hopefully this will be the last time!

                              Thankyou for the feedback!

Back to her former glory <3

Time to get it in a half presentable condition ready for Players. Shall be the Polo's first show of 2013, not to mention the first show with the cage, seats, wheels and everything else together! Well excited..

Car has some patches of orange peel that I'm going to get flatted and polished soon. Get a better finish all over the car than there is at the moment.

                                Also.. Guess who's Back..

                                Players.. Here we come.
