Several points.

It was a polo. Then it got worse. Then it got better. Now it is good. Now I like it.
I do not think I will like it as much with red wheels. Too racecar.
Its already a bit too racecar. The seats man.

I can't imagine what it's like to drive a car with a 1 liter engine. Every car that me/ my family owns has something in the range of 3 to 7.5 liters of displacement. Best fuel economy out of the bunch is like 21mpg. Why? I'm from texas.

Didnt like the smooth hatch without the number plate recess but now looks dope as fuck. Love the jdm inspiration and the brides look beast.

IMO go for some SSR Formula Mesh rims. They look cool, are JDM and will have better fitment. Also can come up in pairs which can be cheaper to buy.
Car is on the right track tho

You say you found a rear hatch professionally done...but the picture tells a different story unless it is a picture of the one you were going to shave and in that case...i'm glad you found yourself a professionally done hatch.

That glob of bondo over the badge inset would crack out as soon as you shut that hatch hard enough.

Yea mate, i got bored haha. I knew it would crack if i continued like that.. I think at that point i had already purchased the blue boot (welded smooth) and was waiting for delivery.

Haha thats.. its gradually got better.. MUCH better than what it was before. As far as the wheel colour.. They will be going red at some-point. Its paint, if i dont like them red.. they will be going back white.. Paint can be changed.

HOLD UP! 1litre.. how dare you!! Its a 1.4! haha Nah i understand, looks quick, but isnt.. Engine conversion is on the to-do list tho mate

Its worth a try, paint can always be changed mate trial and error is what this cars built on and it hasnt stopped just yet :P

Smaller Update..

Ive retrimmed all my A & B pillar trims, grab handles & fabric on door rubbers black. Pillers were trimmed, the handles and rubber fabric were rattle can'd. Looks so much better, been multi coloured for far too long.
Next is to touch up the marks, chips and scratches in the rear of the car so its presentable ready for USC. Its soooo nce working on the car, havent done little touches like this for ages!

So USC Has gone. My first big show with the new interior fitted. Happily the car got a bit more attention than it did at modified nationals when i had the old Cobra's in.

Looks good all but the integra sticker... you aren't thaaat jdm. Must say car is looking good though, IMO you should find a seat so that they match but I'm a bit OCD when it comes to interiors lol.

Hey guys, update just so the thread doesnt die!

I've found myself a part time job so i will be getting a bit of money back in to continue the project once im back on my feet. Nothings changed on the car still, just been attending various meets to get some attention brought onto it.

The some of you who have me on facebook might have seen the status that i posted about USC. For the people who havent seen it..
Basically, took the car to USC as you know from above. What i didn't mention was the damage that the car got whilst being up there in the first night of camping. Large mark running the entire length of the drivers side (removed now), scratches on the rear quarter on the passenger side (removed) and some absolute wanker decided to lean/sit on my bonnet. This resulted in a large dent and a very large and noticeable crack/split in the paint which is going to have to be redone.

So once I get my money sorted out she will be going back to get the paint sorted, YET AGAIN.

Anyway.. Some pictures of recent..

Hah its only for a laugh mate, just something i said to a friend messing around and it sort of stuck haha Ahh most say that mate, but as I said its all personal preference. Ive considered buying a second seat and swapping between shows but i cant be arsed at the moment, im happy :P

as above about the seat :P It looks far betterin person than the photo's.. maybe you guys will change your mind when you see the car or even when its more finished, you never know
