Got a new tripod for the camera.. So went out and started experimenting with different aperture and shutter speeds..Heres the results, not bad for a camera cost £60 new
Considered selling up a couple weeks ago. Bored and cant do much at the moment as i have a lot of maintenance bits and need to fix the bits of paint that are letting the size down (bonnet after USC etc.).
Some of you will be happy that ive decided NOT to sell up. I think i'd miss the little thing.
Updates are.. Nout.
Settled into new job so i have money coming back in now and im doing as much overtime as possible to get the car back on track.
- The under chassis is now undersealed completely.
- Bought a new mid + back section of my exhaust as mine are naffed, £40 for both brand new
- After discussions with mates, I've decided what engine will be eventually going into the Polo. Eventually.
Found a leak that looks like its coming from the gearbox so will need to get it up in the air to have a look ASAP.
Also, me being a clumbsy twat, managed to crack my rear bumper. Its not bad really, very easily repairable. Just a proper fucking annoyance.
Ill be getting a new bonnet soon also, one with the washer jets flushed off, then relocate them to the scuttle.
Next things to come.. Fix paint problems and start work on the wheel fitment situation through the winter.
It was hard, and rough at times. Put I scrolled on and made it through. You sir have an impressive picture library. Really like what you did with it. Keep us updated!

Haha, I like taking pictures of cars, mine or anyones haha
Thanks mate glad you like it so far!
It just seems that with as much money/time spent in the body shop, you could have built the engine, gotten legit wheels and a nice suspension sorted.
I completely see your point. My mates have also said the same thing to me. All show no go at the moment tho. The next car/project will be the complete opposite tho
So.. after a while of nothing i have a small update.. I bought some new wheels
Bought them off my mate for cheep but had to put 4 brand new tyres on them.
Also, had to increase the centre bore from 54.1 to 57.1. Got a few quote from machine shops but they wanted around £60-80 to do it. Decided to do it myself.
60mm 80grit flap wheel + Powerful drill + small amount of filing = HAPPY DAYS!
They are in poor nick.. Looking to get them sanded down and a lick of paint to get them fresh. Undecided on a colour yet tho.. May be just winters or may be 2nd show wheels.. we shall see.
The rota's are now off and tyres removed ready for a fresh refurb for 2013.
Next thing to do is get the paintwork sorted out and get her looking a bit less worse for wear.
People have different tastes i guess mate.. I wish i had the handle still tho, boot poppers breaking all the time and it gets annoying!
When the rota's/new wheels are back on the car i will be getting smaller tyres and spacers to give it a bit of poke on the rear and flush the fronts
So.. As the car may or may not be in the UD carpark for all to see, I'll reveal the new piece I bought for the Polo now its all painted and in... Also gave the rear of the Polo a fresh lick of satin black to make it look a less worse for wear..
Flat floor in the back then I think it would look even better..
Hopefully people will get to see it on Sunday, if you see me and the car come say hello!
Next: Repair rear bumper and get the Rota's back on.
