Have a prospective trade for an E34 touring converted to 5speed. always wanted one, but don't now if i could get rid of this for it.
thanks for the info. ive been loooking at getting the nex coilover set as well. and love the idea of a touring buttttttt love this car haha

well that touring sold... kind of glad because I really don't think I could get rid of this.

its getting cold out here in NY, so.... going into winter mode!

I ended up selling a set of tires to pick these wheels up which worked out nicely. just 16x8 "style 5's". only problem was... they didn't fit up front with the coilovers. I ran out of time over thanksgiving break so had to run my adapters up front to get back to school.

sweet fitment, I know. I ordered 20mm spacers to run all around so will be sitting at +3 all around... that winter stance. I raised the car up a few turns both front and rear.

I put a feeler up for the Gotti's, I really like the mesh look on the style 5's so far, thinking of getting into a multi-piece mesh wheel. we shall see. I'll probably change my mind.

I ordered some powder for the Gotti's. Think im going to keep them. The powder thats on them now didn't really come out right, and I wanted to do something a little crazier with them.

        so I ordered:

        for the bolts

        or

for centers. lips are going to be mirror polished. going to a smaller tire, 205/45 or 195/45. more to come soon!

not sure which to go with for centers...opinions??

I got a quick question if I'm on cut bav auto springs and newish stock struts...would I run into problems running 9.5's all around? I wasn't sure if it was just because of your coils you changed to staggered. And how roll did you do to your fenders or did you just cut out

for the Nex, you do cut MOST of the housing off and weld on the new. i forget exactly how much you keep on

great content and results you should be proud of. out of curiosity, would you be willing to explain what you did with the bumpers, and post some more detailed pictures. I'd appreciate it thoroughly. also interested in the spacing you figured for the sawblades, 45mm front and rear? cheers

Going to update this. As some of you know, this happened back in december:

I was obviously quite upset. I would have loved to fix the car asap, but I am a full time student and live 3 hours from where i generally work on my cars. So i needed to get something to replace it for the time being.

So I picked this up. It has been an awesome car. I really miss my E28 though. I have been looking to trade the car for the past few months, and I am optimistic one of the offers I received is going to go through, so I should be back in an E28 soon!

Sorry for a late response. Next time I am near the car, I can try to get you some most detailed pictures. It is pretty straight forward. You need two sets of the rub strips. one off of the car, the other off another car.

I am going to try and figure out something better for the rear of the car if I do end up picking up another E28 or fixing mine. If I get another, I am really curious as to how Riley Star did his bumpers, which I think produces a little more "clean" "factory" look up close. I liked how mine looked but up close they were not factory clean. those are seen here:

And the sawblades on the 9.5 with springs I used 45mm rear, 48mm front. The 9.5's rubbed the collars on my coils up front when i switched to coilovers, so I sourced a staggered set of sawblades instead.
