Five- oh swap into an e30.

Got some updates!

My old carb was complete crap and the floats were starting to fail on me, it had no choke, etc etc. So I got a new 650cfm Holley double pumper with manual choke and threw it on.












Then I did an oil change and drove up to, around, and back from Ocean City MD. About 700 miles total.
My skid plate has seen better days.















Took some pics while I was up there.













Then I drove 400 Miles up to school in Pittsburgh.

Hunted down a crew of Prius drivers









Finally made it, then cleaned her up(~1500 worth of salt and road grime can take it's toll) and made a run to Wally world for some extra oil.











Finally wired the backlights for my crappy, external gauges up.








And today I wired my Hellas back up and bought some new "off-road extreme" fog lights.










Then a weak attempt at silly things.

first off your exhaust= perfect. and second off o my good god these videos are amazing lol and the efi is gonna be nice. i gotta buddy with a 305 that wants to do the same thing. shes lookin good man cant wait to see her when all this is done.

305's are only good as boat anchors, do yourself a favor and buy a 350 for $100

Some saddish news though, guys... The car will be sitting as planned over winter, but will probably not be drivable again until summer or so. I will be pulling the engine out, rebuilding, converting to EFI and fixing many of the little things that got skipped originally. I'll post the final pictures to come for a while tomorrow or this weekend.

Very cool swap, I have a soft spot for 5.0's. Ditch those stock headers and pick up some aftermarket shorties though, the stock EFI intake, heads and headers are 3 of the most restrictive parts on those motors.

If your looking for a cheap floor mount pedal. Speedway motors has one, mr. Gasket also sells one. There 35-45 bucks. Obviously not the same quality as others mentioned, but might get he job done.

Don't you have the efi intake, harness and ecu? Ford EEC 1 is beyond easy to wire, setup and tune.

If your adamant on carb'd, a rebuild is cheaper than shit ($50 at most).

Well I have everything but the dizzy, ecu and harness. The ecu and harness I have are from a year too early than what I need unfortunately

I assume by "stance" you mean tight fitment? My daily wheels will be something 15x9 again, with some crappy tires on them. As much as I will miss the grip driving everyday, I don't want to be eating up 140 treadwear tires as I have been doing. So when I have money I'll pick up a second set of something.
