I just registered to say several things...
1) got dam
2) I read this thread a year ago while in college and longed to put a 302 in an e30
3) I now have two e30's and started ordering parts to swap it and stumbled across this again while sick from work
4) Anything on the pedal box/boosterless brake setup? I've stated ordering parts to do this on my own car.
5) I'd recommend building a "custom" steering shaft out of flaming river u-joints & a double d steeribg shaft if you like hearing and proper exhausts.
Otherwise I'm mad jealous I wasn't doing this when I was 17 instead of fucking with hondas... But it did keep me from muffing up any nice cars with that "make it function" mentality you have at 17 :')

4. I ditched the self contained Wilwood floor mount box, I'm simply too tall for it to work. Going to keep my old setup but revisit it and reinforce it. If this ever drives again.

5. I've looked into that, just fairly expensive. The noise wasn't bad at all, not that loud. Only reason I'd want an exhaust that exits out back(would be straightpipe) is all the torque loss due to straight pipe, but I have a few ides for that as well.

Regrettably sold my Hennarot e30 a few weeks ago on my birthday, picked up a really nice mk3 Jetta. Swapped wheels, steering wheels on the two cars. Been doing small stuff on the Jetta.
