i made the bed short on purpose, i actually bobbed the rear of it, less hanging past the rear wheels so when i initiate at walls there is less bed to damage.

    • Wow... spent a large portion of my day reading this thread from page one to page 27...
Mad respect, & props for days. If you ever find yourself in Phoenix stop by Forced Air Technologies and say whats up. You can check out our shop drift car. It's a twin-charged (supercharged & turbocharged) rwd wrx.
Anyway, I'm subbed for any future updates. You f*kin rock bro, keep it up

(by the way, check out deatschwerks fuel pumps if you ever decide to change yours out. Every bit as good as walbro but no check valve issues like walbros commonly have. Just my 2 cents, no one like going lean in the upper rpms)

I figured that's why it's shorter. For some reason I thought you shortened it at the body because of the extension.

thanks man i really appreciate the kind words, i have never been to phoenix but if i ever do ill stop and say hi.

so heres my second qualifying run that got me into the top 16. didnt have much practice since one of my battery cables had broken earlier in the day so i rushed to get it running for qualifying.

and in my top 16 battle i was up against an ls2 powered e36 and needed all the power i could get, well that didn't happen and i had engine/fuel problems. emberassing video below. still tried to give him hell.

                    • I forgot how much I dislike announcers yammering away while cars are doing their runs. Did you find out what was giving you the engine issues?

no but I'm going to be making a bunch of changes and hopefully one will fix it.

changing to a ford edis8 wastespark ignition system with megasquirt
welding a sump in my fuel cell so it draws from the bottom instead of the top.
also going to upgrade my fuel pump.

i also need to upgrade my power steering, bigger cooler and smaller pulley.

                        • for those wondering why i haven't been on here or working on the drift truck at all, i have pictures of what i have been working on lately to hold you guys over until i get back on it.

so i commissioned a side job for a friends dad doing a partial restoration on a 72 k5 blazer that he bought dirt cheap, well there was definitely a reason it was so cheap.

here it is after i got the front end stripped down.

and the PO thought it was a good idea to fill the gaping rust holes with expanding foam and then brush thats right BRUSH bondo on about 2-3" think on top of the foam.

the floor, outer rocker panels and parts of the kick panels had to be replaced.

so i commenced bracing the body and cutting things apart.

                          new floor in

doors fitted and outer rockers and rocker boxes and quarter patch panels welded it on both sides.

                          seam sealed and primed

                          bed lined

and he wanted seats from a toyota in it, but they sat way to high, so i had to cut the brackets up and drop em.

also i had to move right in the middle of all of this so that kind of sucked. but the owner of the blazer gave me this truck as a partial payment for the work on his truck.

immediately sold it and bought this for my girlfriend

1995 325i convertible with removable hard top black on black, two owner, low milage manual trans.

                          she loves it.

now the collection looks like this

i just started putting the new fenders on and finished bed lining the entire inside of the truck. ill keep you guys up to date on how it turns out
