definitely not to everybody's taste but i feel like this thing would look killer done up bosozuku style:
that being said that car is too sweet to come out badly, im sure the end product will be amazing. looking forward to seeing more of this build
i have thought about it, i am waiting till i get it on the ground to see how things look before i buy wheels and such.

went down again today and cleaned the engine bay for a while made quite a difference if i do say so.

not quite done yet but getting there i need to get a good brush to get the rest.

right now i have to decide if i want to try and hammer out the cross member that has both of my motor mounts on it or if i want to try and get another one. there is a pretty huge dent in it but it doesn't seem to be affecting the position of the motor.

next up is pulling the front suspension assembly. it drops out as one big unit and will make working on the engine bay much easier. i am going to hold off working on the front suspension for a while since the engine bay is the priority but it is going to much more comfy sitting on a stool than that cross member. hoping to get back down there one tuesday after work.

going carbed, i got those manifolds with the car and it would be a shame to not use them. hoping to have quite a little screamer when this is done.

on a side note i just found out madonna is the halftime show so i think i will be down in the shop for the day hehe

Okay that makes more sense! Yeah if I am not mistaken the 2.4L motor is out of the Manta B chassis. I can't wait to see where this goes. Are you going injected or carbed? I think I saw side draft manis in one of the photos.

no no no i was referring to the 2.4L motor that was only in cars sold outside the US as opel had pulled out of the us market by the time it came out

i am well aware that GTs were sold at buick dealers and i believe we got about 70% of the total cars made

went out to Ravenworks today to chat with Steve. I wanted to make sure they were cool with building the motor since it was never sold here in the US. He and the rest of the shop seem pretty excited about the build. snapped a quick pic of the shop while i was there, if you are looking to get a motor built in the MN area i would give them a shout.

I'm not sure what you mean by they were never sold here in the U.S? Do you mean in your particular state? There are a crap ton of Opel Gt's in the U.S. I personally have owned 2 and there have been about 7 in my family. I also have 3 motors in my garage. I guess I am just confused?

Please clarify, oh and keep up the good work! It's nice to see a fellow Opel owner on here. I have a 74 Manta Rallye.

went down again today to work on the engine bay a bit more. plan is paint it black before the motor is done. i'm not shaving anything just a simple color change to clean it up as it is a bit of a mess right now.

going over to ravenworks on monday to chat again before the motor gets dropped off and also talk about the following:

    -fuel pump
    -fuel lines
    -wiring
    -gauges and speedo

once i get their opinion on what to get i am going to order some stuff and start laying out the bay.
