    thanks guys!

i just was on the phone with OGTS out in california talking about what to buy for the motor and ordered up everything for the build. feels awesome the one everything is actually coming together and two the customer service offered by the companies that supply parts for this car is out of this world. after years of dealing with companies no emailing you back and stealing your credit card info it is great to find service again.

big big thanks to the guys over at Opel GT Source (OGTS) for being so awesome!

had my weekly trip into ravenworks this morning and things are looking good. the porting looks AWESOME on the head so much smoother than before and we were able to make a parts list to order up so i am just waiting on OGTS to confirm my order. I am hoping to have everything ship before the weekend since if not that would lead a tuesday shipping. either way things are moving forward!

my buddy tim had his camera down at the shop today to take pics of the progress on the add, vet, turbo he and the another one of my friends are building (hint hint it is crazy) and he snapped a few pics. wiring is basically out, just more cleaning then scuffing and paint.

    update time!

went out to ravenworks this morning before heading into the office to see how things are going. so instead of rambling i made a list of the important things.

    - confirmed the crank, rods and pistons are forged
    - block and head came back from cleaning and there are no cracks
    - still waiting on crank to come back from being polished
    - i need new lifters
    - cylinder walls look fine (was really worried about this)
    - everything that the PO said was in the motor was actually there
    - most likely keeping the stock pistons as they are the 9.5:1 comp pistons and the highest i can possibly go is 11:1 which isn't really worth the cost when i am already going to be milling the head and block a bit
    - jason started porting the head and so far it looks great
    - yay progress!

    mmmm pretty

you can see jason has started on cylinder #1

crappy shot i know, i'll grab better ones when the head work is done

thats it for now, parts will be ordered as soon as we have enough info to do so but i'll keep you all posted

talked with jason from ravenworks this morning on the phone about a couple of things and will be going in tomorrow to finalize what we are going to do to the motor.

so far the motor has been completely torn down and the block and head have been sent out and cleaned and checked for cracks. both came back good (the heads are known to crack between cyl2 and 3) which is a relief. tomorrow i'll snap a ton of pics and then post a list of everything that will be done as well.

i haven't been this excited to wake up early in a long time hehe
