got a little bit done today, not as much as i would have liked but my back went out on me while i was under the dash pulling the last of the wiring out of the bay. I have a horrible back from my years of being on tour racing snowboards so this is kind of par for the course but it still sucks. the wiring in the car is so haggard that i have just decided to replace all of it and build my own wiring harness.
figured since it is basically going to be an extra month before my engine is done because i have to wait on pistons that i'll have time to get it done.
i am also pretty sure the car has been hit around the passenger headlight at one point in its life given how wrinkly it is under there but paint and body work is for next winter and i have to decide if i just want to buy another shell of try and salvage this one. i am thinking the former...
looks like i have to buy pistons, steve just called me from ravenworks and he noticed while taking the rings off of one of the pistons there was a chunk missing between the the rings. at least we have a good idea as do where the oil consumption was coming from but this means that we are going to have to bore out the block a little and i have to buy a set of pistons.
i am thinking 12:1... hehe
Damn dude that sucks. On the other hand you get a better engine in the end this way.

What's up I would be the Manta he is referring to.
Glad to hear it's coming along! I got my motor in last night only to find out that the GT bell housing is different than the Manta and now I have to pull the transmission.
