First off i want to give a big thanks to Kasey and Tapper for helping out tonight!

Kasey and I went down tonight with two goals, finish the instal on the appradio in the prelude and get the motor and trans out of the operand we were able to get both done! Originally we were going to drop everything out of the bottom of the car but after a quick chat with the rest of the guys down at the shop we decided it was a better idea to pull the trans from the motor and then lift the motor out from above. It took a bit of work but we were able to get it out. on to the pics!

the fluid in the trans looked almost brand new and the clutch and flywheel weren't bad either

kasey and i are taking the engine up to ravenworks on thursday so thats it for now!

and we are good to go!

went out to Ravenworks today to chat with Steve. I wanted to make sure they were cool with building the motor since it was never sold here in the US. He and the rest of the shop seem pretty excited about the build. snapped a quick pic of the shop while i was there, if you are looking to get a motor built in the MN area i would give them a shout.

You probably already know but OpelGTSource.com has quite a few parts in stock as well as resources to get parts for US and Euro spec motors.

alright i spent this week starting to figure out what i am going to do with the engine. i have decided to let a pretty renowned hotrod shop in the area do all of the work as opposed to them doing everything but put the motor together. If this was a b16, 1.8t or VR6 i would do it myself but given how hard/expensive it would be to get another one of these motors into the country i don't really feel like risking it.

the big thing that is still up in the air is high comp pistons. i am 95% sure wiseco makes a set for my motor i just can't find the part number for them anymore nor do i know how much they are going to be. i guess we'll just have to wait and see.
