I'm saving for wheels, it will take a while, but I think its last few good pics on azevs were taken yesterday.

I gave her a walk and an overdue clean today, stopped for a jimmy and took pics. (of the car)

Today they are all clean, and running well and I like them!

The time has come, the 944 scene has grown, lots are being modified and restored and values are climbing. I want to improve the condition of mine while the parts are available and cheapish.
The big things like paintwork and mechanical parts don't worry me - they will always be available. But I'm collecting the little things.

This could be the most boring update ever, but I added it to the thread as it was very expensive.

Long time since update, and a lot has happened.
I was going to sell the car, but the engine got smokey and i fitted a 951 block/head with the forged rods and N/A cam.
Seems to pull a bit better now.

I had a vision that early 924 polished window surrounds would look good with polished wheels on a black car, so I bought some..


I deleted the power steering and then re fitted it!

2 yrs browsing, I found a non faded or burned matching lower rear seat at sensible money.



And an "in keeping" leather steering wheel.

Why? More reliable? Easier to get power out of? Just wondering because this is going to be a long term and low budget build. College kid and all.

My tip is bin the Porsche engine and fit an Audi 5 cylinder turbo or even 1.8 20vt.

Just stumbled across a 1985 Porsche 944 parts car with full engine and driveline for $300. Going to purchase and rebuild the engine. May go turbo, any tips? The engine will be pulled so I will have just the engine and driveline. I would, once finished with turbo engine, pull my current NA engine and sell it. Tips?

The mounts are in the rear beam, that is why I had to change it.
I have just arrived in Poland, the 931 box was a bit better on a run. I didn't get flat out (feel bad for engine) but the sat nav showed 154mph on a flat road with luggage, passenger, full tank. Pleased with that.

I wish i was a college student tbh, young naive girls are way better than cars.

I finished the g/box conversion - interesting...not sure if i like!

Im trying to work out why i have wider track on one side at the front. One tyre is close the other is not. Camber is all in on both, same arms, same offset..(no car has never had an impact) wondering if one of the turbo hubs is bent?
