just a small picture for now. Keeping my fingers crossed after a little more tweaking tomorrow, she will be running smoothly again. having air idle control valve issues today i think

woo she runs! sorted out the small issues (vacuum leak mostly at a leaky AN fitting) and she will be good to go after a few more minutes of tinkering.

horrible pictures of the bay and finished motor, but here they are nonetheless. hood is coming off when i pull her out of the garage when i take the next few pics
i have to say, this intake manifold is now as shaved as it can physically get, so that will work for this year till the ITB project takes shape... obviously, take note, the balance tube is now on the bottom of the plenum, is all -8an and functions as well as stock but you dont see it. I absolutely love how the design and planning on it came out. the throttle cover is all custom and now extends over all the runners. oh and most importantly the 6th runner now matches the shape and flow characteristics of the rest. entire thing was then re-smoothed, then extrude honed, and finally powdercoated in wrinkle black. intake piping was modified as well to remove all of the ports but the one for the idle control valve which i needed, and then it too was powdered wrinkle black

So, I saw a 300zx on the way to work this morning that by all standards was a really nice, cleanly modified car. But when I saw it, your car flashed through my mind, and my reaction was merely "meh, looks okay."
Congrats, you have offically ruined all other 300s for me. LOL
thanks. yeah there are literally thousands of hours on this car over the years in my garage. to tell you the truth, i dont sleep much. its another full time job if not more.
daily life consists of getting in the s4, driving to the train station, getting on a 6:56am train to nyc. working at the architecture office usually till about 6pm (sometimes much longer), hopping back on the damn train, home for some dinner, then wrenching a bit in the garage, or coordinating parts for wheel sets being sent off for some work. Then more wrenching, inside to answer emails for my company, work on updating the blog, maybe some computer 3d rendering for the new wheel line or part design, some sleep and the cycle starts again.
weekends are spent working on cars, drinking with buddies, attempting to pick up girls, and more working in the garage. haha. thats the addiction
trust me my last gf and i split because i apparently gave more attention to my cars and business then her. i have no idea where she got that idea from. haha
A definite commendable passion that you have for your TWO jobs and plus some with your side hobby of hooking up with ladies.
But women will always want attention regardless of what you're doing. Doesn't matter if you are designing kids meal toys for burger king, she would've still left you because women are crazy. Get paid and then maybe get laid if its that important.
