Made more progress in the aim of cleaning her up and getting ready for racing. Looks like my first event in the Focus for the year will be July 18.
Before/After with sideskirts
Rear 3/4 view looks good
For good measure
All kinds of clearance...
Inspecting the oil pan after it was cracked on Monday.
While replacing the oil pan today, I decided to clean up the baffles in the new one, which was out of a car with 80K on it. I decided upon further inspection to not bother, and use the baffles which came out of my pan. This is a comparison between the ones from the other car, which ran conventional oil on regular change intervals until its demise at approx. 80,000 miles; and my car, which has run Mobil-1 changed every 7500 miles since the day I bought it. My car has 154,000 miles on it, and its baffles are at the bottom of the picture. I wish I had gotten a picture of the pans together, the difference was astounding. Once the oil had been wiped out of it with a clean rag, my original pan looked like it had never even been installed on a car on the inside. The "new" pan had to have a thin film of sludge cleaned off of nearly every surface, with as much as 1/8" of buildup in common areas. Absolutely incredible.
Rachel's old intake on my car.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.
Your blast pipes look stupid.

I bought a DD to save the Focus from winters and daily use.
Meet Rose.
1980 Volvo 242
-279,000 miles on both shell and drivetrain
-Complete drivetrain, suspension, brake, suspension, and electrical system swap from a '91 244.
-Cut springs
I am already in love with the car, and am shocked at how well the cut springs ride. I will of course be correcting the suspension, as well as adding widened 15" steelies and some other crap while I DD the car. Once I've got some cash saved for a newer DD, this car will be torn down for a relatively major, but not unattainable build-up/restoration.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.

Read the whole thread and I must say only two people have (yet) proven me that a focus isn't always a bad thing. But could be a very good (looking) thing. And you sir are one of those two people.
On the volvo however for a sec I thought I saw an frisian flag on the gascap.
Got excited and then got dissapointed haha.Dutch language sounds like a drunk German trying to speak English, while on magic mushroom, eating Belgian waffles.

Dude sick! Finally seeing another focus. I have an 05 ST. My build is coming along slowly but surely. I'm on Ksports and 18x8 Team Dynamics. I am rubbing like a bitch on dips even after having my fenders rolled. I think it's just the liners, but I'm not 100% sure. Did you remove your liners?
Here's a couple pics of mine if you wanna see.
Also a sound clip :P

The gas cap on the Volvo is a silly thing, but I think it'll always be on the car in one form or another.

I never specifically removed my fender liners, I just sort of ran them over.

Yeah I was thinking of doing that, but to be honest it's settled a bit up front from that pic and isn't as drastic as it looks.
Yeah I just hear a terrible sound that I assume is just fender liners. One of these days I'll chalk them up and see where I'm really rubbing.
