Damn glad I saw this thread. Benz looks slick as can be. Cant wait to see it on air.. I found my buddy a 69' 280s after I got my 74' 240, and hes been loving it ever since. Theyre awesome cars.
even without air, when i see this car or cars like it, in your photos, i smile... great stuff man. just keep posting pics of that car, i dont care if it has air or not, that car is Stance on its own....

nice. i was thinking the other day how similar our car colors are!
mine actually looks more like yours after it was repainted. the color was mismatched a little , when i look at it in the sun it looks almost with a hint of dark green rather than grey. and over all it came out a bit lighter than i expected. but looks good regardless.
Stopped down at socal suspension to go over the plans for tank mounting/hose running etc. and we have it mostly planned out. Jose and Alex down there seem legit and have installed a lot of accuair and e-level before. here is some shots of the shop car and Jose's pickup he is building.
So after that I drove back home and the next day gave the old girl a detail in my tiny garage
Paint Cleaner
Clay Bar
Rubbing Compound in required areas
Polish
Wax
Here you can see a rough patch in the clear-coat - this car has been re-painted original 172G Anthracite by the previous owner and it was a really nice job, but this area always bugged me.
Here you can see it with the light right on it
Using Meguires rubbing compound it started getting a lot better over about 5-10 minutes
You can see final result later down
There was another area on the drivers rear quarter, on the edge just next to the rear door - you can see it is a bit dull/orange peely. I decided to try the rubbing compound here as well..
This shot shows the dull area
And this is after
I also polished up the chrome and washed the tires
This car is just full of class! I'm lovin the progress you've made so far and I'm anxious to see this on AIR!!!
ive been wanting to put a car on air since i was 16 - back in the old 'fast and the furious' days when i had a 96 mitsubishi mirage hatch in australia....that ended up going down on D2 coilovers which i ***** (stiffest ride EVER) These shots were circa 2004
then i wanted to put my old C Class on air but ended up with koni lowered springs. This was around 2008
BEFORE
AFTER
