thanks man, i saw one of these in this anthracite colour drive past me once in australia YEARS ago and ever since wanted one. when i moved to the states I found this for sale and couldnt' say no. in the 18 months since i bought it i've seen 3 other anthracite ones for sale but they were the 300sel's with the 6.3l V8 - a fantastic car but many moons higher in value and you need DDDEEEEEEEPP pockets to own one of those. you could spend 7k alone just rebuilding the factory air suspension on those

its real clean but with any old car...has it's imperfections, nothing major but hey, nothing is perfect right

at the mechanics. oil leak getting fixed. new alternator (beefier 55A to replace the old 35A). AC recharged and they are re-making the wiring harness for the alternator/voltage regulator as the old one was toast (and dangerous). they also re-did the battery ground cable that was kinda sketchy.

i am going to install a few new interior bits i have collected once i get the car back

slowly getting closer to air *lots of patience face*

lame update #42: Car is back from mechanics. They also put in a new correct Bosch battery to replace the crappy ass AAA battery that I got last year (and got a full refund for after hounding them about how crap it was)

Nice to have it back, feel like I haven't driven the thing in the last few months.

That BMW bavaria thread with air is getting me itching to get this thing down to the suspension shop. drop off should be soon now all this stuff is taken care of
