              • Thanks everyone. NOPE still running my poor little mig. I just had time to really clean the surface and do the right preparation. Makes such a big difference. Some slight updates. Really trying to get the bike up and running since it's my source of transportation and I'm waiting for the seam sealer to dry (takes a few days)

By far the best build on SW!

The only thing that boders me is the trans-tunnel, would love to see it redone...

                        • Always appreciate the kind words! thank you

Tossed another layer of paint on the front subframe. Just need to press in all the new bushings now and I got the hardtail bent tube for the bike! Tanks pretty much done... just need to test for leaks.

The engine bay will be the death of me, so I'm just going to work on it a little more and paint it. It's going to take my life away if I want to make it perfect.

                          • Seriously inspirational thread. Also makes me feel like a dumbass for now knowing how to weld fully, as my father runs our families 3 generation welding business, I would be the 4th if I would learn haha. Threads like these are definitely motivation though, keep up the hard work.

                              • I don't blame you on the engine bay. If I've learned one thing, it's that perfecting body work at home with basic tools is such a challenging task and will push you to the brink of insanity haha. I fully understand why body work is so expensive to have done. I've had people contact me asking if they can pay me to do MK1 flares on their 2002 and I just have to decline because I don't think anyone would pay me what I would charge to do that again haha plus I'm only halfway done with mine.
