Let us know how you like the hardtail. I've always been curious. I had a lowered softail, and even then, my spine would shoot pain after a few miles of choppy highway or rough riding. Before I had a bike, I laughed at people that complained about their spines. When I experienced it first hand, I stopped laughing lol.

Yeah the majority of the bay that looks bad will be at your feet anyways. No one will ever see it and I'm just happy that the rust is taken care of. Seriously got so much of it removed and painted now.

Complete hard tail conversion? Why the change in petcock location (doesn't seem like it moved much..)

TeckniX-The one inch kept it from hitting the motor. Still had to order a right angle, but it would never clear at the original position.

Yep complete custom hard tail. This is going to be the death of me... been going at it everyday nonstop. Spent my christmas right though! Just left the garage haha

On the bike exhaust, If U want to keep it short but quieter, fab it up from thick wall copper plumbing pipe.
