Ok so no 02 updates, but I have been working on some other cool things. I'm not sure if I posted about this in the past, but I have always wanted to build an old iron head. It was a bucket list thing to finally build the bike I had always envisioned since I can remember. Well finally... making some progress. Wanted it to be as raw as possible with a lot of little details that you would have to really look for to find. The goal is to have it be something I can ride (like it was recently stolen) and not feel bad, which I think it's fitting perfectly now.

Few more little fixes and it should be on the road soon. This was from the day I got it:

Cut the frame in half and used a voodoo hardtail:

Made sure it was protected at all times:


How it looks as of today:

Some details. Went with a lot of raw metal and accents. The frame is actually black with a flake clear coat. Hard to see in this light, but it pops in the sunlight.


Last update. I have been making these roses for as long as I have been wrenching on the 02. This year I wanted to step each aspect of the process up. I had CAD files made and actually laser cut all the stainless petals and leafs. Really happy with how they are turning out and had a lot of good friends help me make this dream a reality (thank you nerds if you're reading this).
