anyways back to updates. just my amazing luck rain has been holding me back every weekend. Managed to spray one layer of base and tried my clear coat. I'm amazed by how flat it ended up. Really happy with it and can't wait to spray the whole car. You can see it was my first time with clear (runs and stuff), but its all a learning curve! CAN'T wait to have a sunny day and finish it up.

I'm still a ways out for the engine. I have it sitting and ready to be worked on... just want to get the window seals in so I can leave the car outside while I work on it in the garage.

Put another coat of base one and over half a gallon of clear! lots of orange peel, but I think once I hit it with the DA it should be looking pretty good. The wind, dust, and other crap that goes along with a garage paint job sucks, but I'm just amped to have it looking decent.

That OP is nothing. Block sand it with 1500, then 2000, then DA polish it. Shit will be tits.
