would you recommend a 7D over anything else?

Also why does the 60d feel like a downgrade to you? I have heard this, but no explanation as to why..

I would most certainly recommend the 7D. I checked out the 60d and then the 7D and I have to say the 7D blew away the 60d. The 7d is a lot more rugged and could withstand a drop to the ground. the cons with the 7d are that it is basically a beefed up t2i and its price tag is TWICE what the t2i costs.

I simply cannot understand people who talk shit about the 60D. Had 550 before, the 60D is simply better in all terms. Have had it out in the very rain for hours, and it just dont give a shit. The tilt screen is a major point towards the 7D, the 7D is just a tint more rigged, but imo. too big (you need VP and sealed lenses to bring it out in storms/snow anyway) and off course the more fps. 5.3 has been more than enough to capture the monents in car racing, mc and quard up to now though.
