Canon EOS 1100D
75-300mm Kit Lens (from an old film canon which is around 17 years old as was purchased a couple of months before I was born)
18-55mm Kit Lens
Within the next week I will be adding a Canon Speedlite 430ex.
Everything but perfect and not at all ideal, however as a 16 year old getting into photography and learning along the way its a good starting point.

Canon 60D
Canon 500D
18-135 and 18-55 kit lenses, 75-300 zoom and 50mm f/1.4
I use the 50mm the most now and happily move myself around to get whatever shot I need, I've been thinking of upgrading to full frame but I'm unsure of what to go for right now or if I should just invest in better glass.

actually just checked b&h.
20mm 2.8 is priced at 489 (before shipping and all that tax)
28mm 1.8 is priced at $429 (before shipipng and all that tax)
so....8mm wider is a $60 difference, but I lose a few stops - I love f/2.8 on the full frame anyways so Im now leaning more towards that advantage. dammit decisions suck.
do any of you all have any experience with either of these lenses or both? I can always just rent both out for a few days to help make my decision. but would like some input from people that actually use this for automotive work like i'll be doing. I dont do much landscape. I just want something wide so i can get close and possibly use for my rig. Ive shot with a 100mm 2.8 macro that i used as a telephoto lol and the contrast colors on that lens were amazing, a bit richer than my 50 1.4. So how would you compare the 2 lenses?

Thanks @indiejack and .Ray
right now the 50 1.4 is great, i loved it on my 7d and love it even more on the mk2.
I am leaning more towards that wider 20mm area. but yeah Id like to get a wide prime in the 20s, keep my 50 1.4, and get a longer reach prime like that 85mm - i hear on the FF that lens is insane, friend of mine that shoots out in Florida just picked one up, and those shots looks insane- for the most part he does portrait work and man...thing is insanely sharp- so im assuming that'd be great for automotive needs as well. Also this last time I shot a drift event out here in Houston and my 50mm was not getting close enough....but Im rarely able to make it out to events like that either way so wide prime it is.
I just picked up a light wand last night to try it out, gonna be shooting an 1100hp Supra here in Austin and wanted to try my take on some light painting. Gonna try it on my car tonight and see what happens haha, Light Painting on a '12 Nissan Versa...lets see how this goes.
Again thanks for the input guys.

70-210 Macro
(2) Vivitar 285hv Strobes
Cowboy Studios Trigger Kit
a few different polarizer filters and other filters

Looking at adding the Sigma 17-70 to my stable before SoWo, seems it will be a good addition since I got rid of my kit lens when I gave my old camera to my sister.
